The bg26.2 & half marathon on Sunday, November 1 is less than two months away! The race day festivities include a two kilometer (2K = 1.2 miles) kids run at 12:30pm. This run is open to all children currently in grades K-6. We are asking for your help in informing the children of Bowling Green, Warren County, and surrounding counties about this free event geared specifically toward our local kids.

All participants will receive a t-shirt, finisher’s medal, goodie bag, and post-race snack (Mr. B’s Pizza and Prairie Farm’s chocolate milk) free of charge. The bg26.2 Kids Run check-in will be staged in the BGMU parking lot located at Center Street/Main Street (please arrive by no later than 12:15pm), and the run course begins and ends in the same area near the Bowling Green Ball Park. Race day instructions will be emailed the last week in October.

Help us spread the word! Running is fun, and this event is focused on showing kids how fun it can be! The kids can track their mileage buildup to 26.2 miles from now until October 28 on the training log (link is below). Their goal is to accumulate 25 miles before running the last 1.2 miles at the kids run on November 1. This adds up to the distance of a full marathon (26.2 miles).
