Dehn’s Recommended PSW-SLD Criteria
____ One or more statistically significant intra-individual psychological/cognitive processing weaknesses
____ At least one psychological/cognitive processing strength that is one of the following:
____ A statistically significant intra-individual strength
____ A normative strength (above average score; 110/115 or above)
____ A score within the average range (85-114/90-109)
____ The psychological/cognitive processing weakness subtest scores are unitary.
____ The deficient area of achievement has a below average score (lower than 85).
____ The deficient area of achievement subtest scores are unitary.
____ The deficient area of achievement is also a statistically significant intra-individual weakness. Exceptions can be made when:
____ There are two or more areas of deficient achievement
(scores lower than 85), but not all areas of achievement are deficient
____ At least one achievement strength that is one of the following:
____ A statistically significant intra-individual strength
____ A normative strength (above average score; 110/115 or above)
____ A score within the average range (85-114/90-109)
____ There is consistency between the deficient area of achievement and at least one related psychological/cognitive processing weakness. Consistency means that there is no statistically significant difference between the achievement and related processing scores.
____ This criterion also is met when a related processing score is significantly lower than the deficient area of achievement.
