DEDICATED
To Christians everywhere who desire to demonstrate their love for Jesus by faithfully obeying His commandments. And, in love and grateful appreciation to my beloved wife, Rifkah, for her encouragement and patience through the process involved in putting this work together.
THIS IS A REFERENCE WORK LISTING ALL COMMANDMENTS BY SUBJECT TOPIC IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER..
All commandments are paraphrased. For the full understanding, please read the complete text and context in your own Bible. Trust the Holy Spirit to guide your thoughts as you seek with all your heart to know the Will of God on each subject.
In the GREAT COMMISSION, Jesus said; `Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature.' Mark 16:15 `Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the Name (authority) of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe (obey) all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.' Matthew 28:19-20
Paul wrote to the Corinthians, saying, "If anyone thinks himself to be a prophet or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things I write to you are the commandments of the Lord. 1 Corinthians 14:37
Therefore, I have included all commandments of the inspired New Testament in this compilation, as the Commandments of Jesus.
May this work be a blessing to all who use it. May it encourage growth toward Christian maturity and understanding. For those who are not believers, may they come to a better understanding of what a true Christian should be attempting to become.
John 14:21-24
21 Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him."
22 Then Judas (not Judas Iscariot) said, "But, Lord, why do you intend to show
yourself to us and not to the world?"
23 Jesus replied, "If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.
24 He who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me. (NIV)

That there will be no divisions among you.
That you be perfectly united in the same mind and in the same judgment.

AID{Return to Index}
1 Cor 16:1-4Now concerning collection for the saints in Jerusalem;
Do as I commanded the Galatian churches:
On the first day of the week, let each one of you set aside as God has prospered you, sothere will be no collection needed when I come.
Then when I arrive, I will send, whoever you approve by your letters, to Jerusalem with your gifts. If I am able to go also, they will go with me.
2 Cor 8:1-15As you abound in everything - in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in all diligence, and in your love for us –
See that you abound in this grace also.
In this I give my advice: It is to your advantage not only to be doing what you began and were desiring to do a year ago, but now you must complete the doing of it; that as there was a readiness to desire it, so there also may be a completion out of what you have.
If there is first a willing mind, it is accepted according to what one has, and not according to what he does not have.
2 Cor 8:24Show these men I am sending with Titus and the churches, the proof of your love and our boasting on your behalf.
2 Cor 9:7Everyone should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
Phil 4:3I urge you also, true companion, help these women who labored with me in the gospel, with Clement and the rest of my fellow
workers, whose manes are in the Book of Life.
1 Thes 5:14Warn those who are unruly.
Comfort the timid and faint hearted.
Help the weak
Be patient toward all men.
1 Tim 5:1-16Give respect and aid to those widows who are really in need.
If any widow has children or family, let them learn to show pity at home first, and to repay their parents.
1 Tim 6:17-19Charge those who are rich in this world;
Not to be proud or trust in uncertain riches, but to trust in the Living God.
To do good, that they may be rich in good works, ready to share generously with the needy.
Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation toward the time to come, that they may take hold of eternal life.
Heb 12:12-13Therefore, strengthen the hands that hang down and the feeble knees, and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame
may not be dislocated, but rather be healed.
Heb 13:16Do not forget to do good and share what you have, for God is well pleased with that kind of sacrifice.
James 1:27Pure and undefiled religion before God the Father is this:
To visit the orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.

If you would be perfect, sell what you have, give to the poor, then come follow Me.

Practice hospitality.

him who has need.
1 Tim 6:17-19Charge those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches, but to trust in the living God Who

Hebrews 13:16Do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is will pleased.
ANGER(see also REVENGE and WRATH) {Return to Index}
Eph 4:26-27 Be angry and do not sin.
Do not give place to the devil.
Eph 4:31Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, evil speaking, and all malice be put away from you.
Col 3:8-9But now you must also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth.
Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds.
James 1:19-20 Therefore my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.
For the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.
ANXIETY {Return to Index}
Matt 6:25-34Do not worry about your life, what you shall eat or what you shall drink, not about your body,what you shall put on.
Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?
Therefore do not worry saying, What shall we eat? or What shall we drink? or What shall we wear?
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
Luke 21:11-12When they bring you to the synagogues and magistrates and authorities;
Do not worry about how or what you should answer, or what you should say. For the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say.
Luke 12:22-31Do not worry about your life, what you will eat; nor about the body, what you will put on.
And do not seek what you should eat or what you should drink, nor have an anxious mind.
John 14:27Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; Not as the world gives do I give to you.
Do not let your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Phil 4:6Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.
ARGUMENTS {Return to Index}
Rom 14:1-2Welcome those who are weak in the faith.
Do not engage in questionable disputes.
Rom 14:3Do not let the one who eats certain things despise those who do not eat them.
Do not let the one who does not eat certain things judge those who eat them.
Phil 2:14Do all things without murmuring or dispute.
1 Tim 1:3-6Charge some not to teach any other doctrine, not to listen to fables and endless genealogies that stir up questions,
rather than godly edification in the faith.
The goal of the commandment is love out of a pure heart, and a clear conscience of sincere faith.
1 Tim 4:7-8 Avoid profane and old wives fables.
1 Tim 6:20-21Keep that which is committed to your trust.
Avoid profane and vain discussions and the oppositions by what is called science, by which some have erred concerning the faith.
2 Tim 2:14Put them in mind of these things.
Charge them before the Lord, not to quarrel about words that do not profit anyone, but rather they destroy the hearers.
2 Tim 2:16-18Shun empty and vain talk, for it will draw the people into more ungodliness, destroying the faith of some.
2 Tim 2:23-26Avoid foolish and ignorant questions, because they produce quarrels, and the servant of the Lord must not quarrel
but be gentle toward all people, able to teach and patient.
Instruct the opponents with gentleness, in the hope that God will give them a repentant heart to the acknowledgment of the truth, that they may repent.
Titus 1:5-9The reason I left you in Crete, was that you might straighten out what was left unfinished, and
appoint Elders in every town, as I directed you.
A bishop must be:
Blameless
The husband of one wife.
Having children who are not accused of violence or unruly.
Above reproach as a steward of God.
Not self willed.
Not easily angered.
Not given to much wine.
Not violent.
Not greedy for money.
A lover of hospitality.
A lover of goodness.
Sober.
Just.
Holy.
Temperate (self controlled).
