A regular meeting of the Glen Ridge Board of Education was held on Monday, October 18, 2010 at 7:06 pm in the LGI room at Glen Ridge High School.
The meeting was held in accordance with applicable NJ Statutes governing public Board of Education meetings.
The Pledge of Allegiance and a Moment of Silence were observed.

STATEMENT OF PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE
This is a regular meeting of the Glen Ridge Board of Education. Adequate notice of this meetinghas been provided in that this Board notified the Glen Ridge Paper and the Star Ledger on May 10, 2010. Said notice was published in the Star Ledger and the Glen Ridge Paper on May 13, 2010. The date, time, and location of this meeting were also emailed to all recipients of the annual schedule of the Board's meetings.

Ms. Ginsburg reported that she will be attending an Education Forum presented by the Garden State Coalition of Schools on November 10th regarding the Governor’s Toolkit.
SUPERINTENDENT'S REPORT
During the Showcase of Success, Dr. Mucciolo and Ms. Ginsburg honored the 2010 recipients of the “Tradition of Excellence Award” by presenting certificates to Kevin Lagos, music teacher at Glen Ridge High School, and Pam Flippin, school secretary at Ridgewood Avenue School.
Dr. Mucciolo reported on the 2009-2010 Annual District Report Violence, Vandalism and Substance Abuse Report. He also presented a PowerPoint presentation with his recommendations of the Strategic Planning virtual study groups.

Curriculum Committee - Ms. Raskin reported that the committee discussed summer homework and the Strategic Planning process.
Personnel and Policy Committee - Ms. Eisen reported that the committee met and reviewed the first reading of the policies and regulations on the agenda for approval.
Negotiations Committee - Mr. Kobernick reported that the last meeting held on October 6, 2010 was very productive. The next meeting is scheduled for November 10, 2010.
Finance and Facilities Committee - Mr. Keppel reported that the committee discussed the current district breakage report.
