Dear Director:

The Klein Collins Tiger Belles are pleased to host our first TrendSetters Dance Team Championship! We are honored to have the opportunity to work on such an incredible event, and to work with such a reputable company as TrendSetters Dance and its owner Debbie Melton. Debbie, one of the most dedicated company owners and Drill Team Director of 30 years, prides herself on organization and experience. We hope you and your team will enjoy Klein Collin’s TrendSetters Dance Team Championship as much as we enjoy hosting the contest with excellence.

The following are a few things we pride ourselves in providing through the contest:

  • Two full sized gyms: one for team performances, and one for officer, ensemble, and solo performances
  • A dressing facility for each team
  • Wide Halls for easy maneuvering of your Team and props
  • A relaxing, first class Director’s Room, stocked with food and drinks
  • A great reasonably priced concession stand (See enclosed menu sheet)
  • Pre-order Team Meals
  • TrendSetters infamous Spirit Shop!
  • Dance booth for those last minute or forgotten items
  • First Aid Center
  • Silent Auction
  • Information Booth to help in any way including helping with Lost and Found needs
  • Guest Friendly campus with two main entrances for spectators, easy access prop drop off area, performer’s entrance, and amazing parking available for buses and spectators
  • A friendly professional group of individuals that love Drill Team and Dance, and who believe in its importance in the educational world of today

Of course along with all the “Extras” and with every professionally run competition, comes the rules and regulations. Our entire building at Klein Collins High School shuts down in order for this contest to take place and to run efficiently. Therefore, we ask for your help and cooperation with the following issues. These must be addressed and enforced to have the contest run smoothly.

  • NO FOOD OR DRINKS are allowed in the SCHOOL OR DRESSING AREAS. These are classrooms. We do not want teachers to find food in their drawers or cabinets. If there is a medical necessity to bring an ice chest, it can be checked in with the nurse. ANY ROOM FOUND WITH OUTSIDE FOOD/DRINKS OR STAINS WILL BE CHARGED A MINIMUM Of $100 CLEANING FEE OR THE COST TO REPAIR OVER THE $100 MINIMUM.
  • Although there will be security present, please have a manager/parent remain in the dressingarea when the team is not there. We ask that NO MALES enter the dressing areas or halls in order to safeguard against any uncomfortable situations!!!!
  • If you have any males on your team and have a specific request as to their dressing room placement please contact the Tiger Belles Director, Lauren Rodgers, AS SOON AS POSSIBLE to insure your accommodation needs are met.
  • Please encourage your team and your supporters to eat at our concession area. As you know, it is how most of the expenses of the contest are paid for. Do not bring food or drinks on campus or into the building.
  • All Props must be properly covered so that no marks are made on the gym floor. No tap shoes will be allowed on the gym floor. The entire floor must be protected from tap shoes. Please alert TrendSetters if you are tapping, so that your routine can be scheduled accordingly. If you have any questions about this please call.
  • Enclosed are four tickets. These tickets are your only free tickets, so please distribute to other director(s) and chaperones. As the director of your team, you do not need a ticket for yourself. Saturday admission is $10. Children (under 5) and Sr. citizens (65 and older) are $5.00.

I have enclosed directions to the school, food menu, and pre-order meal forms for Chick-Fil-A, Papa John’s Pizza, and our own Yummy Contest Concession stand for team meals as well as a list of hotels and attractions in the area.

Klein Collins H.S. Cleaning Agreement Form

Klein Collins High School has secured several custodians to assist in keeping the school clean during the TrendSetters Dance Team Contest on February 3rd, 2018. In order to continue to use the facilities for this event, it is imperative that all participants abide by the policy of not having food, gum or beverages in the academic hallways, classrooms, performance areas (auditorium & gyms) and areas used as dressing areas.

Please understand that any team who does not abide by this policy will be fined a $100.00 fee or more depending on the damage. Should you decide to bring food, it should be eaten off campus. Of course, we offer a great variety of food at a very reasonable price. We hope that you will support the Klein Collins Tiger Belles.

We are sorry if this seems strict, but we have heard of teams bringing food into restricted areas at other competitions and making messes as well as just being destructive with the things teachers have in their rooms. Of course when these types of things happen it makes teachers reluctant to allow us to use their rooms again for future competitions. So please help us out and…..FOLLOW THE RULES!!!!!
