While every attempt will be made to provide a safe environment for animals, exhibitors, and spectators, the Duplin County Livestock Show Committee, Duplin County Events Center, and Sponsors will not be held responsible for any accidents or injuries that may occur. Exhibitor and/or guardian agrees to hold and indemnify Duplin County Livestock Show Committee, Duplin County Livestock Facility, and Sponsors harmless from any and all liability arising out of exhibitors use of grounds, including any and all injury or damage to exhibitor and/or animal or any participants and the public. Show Committee will not be held responsible for any lost personal items.

I have read the attached rules and regulations and agree to comply with these regulations as set forth by the Duplin County Livestock Show Committee. The sponsors, committee, and exhibitors will not be responsible for any damages or injury that may occur in conjunction with the show.

Duplin County Livestock Show

Friday September 12 and Saturday September 13, 2014

Please Note: The Duplin County Livestock Show is participating in the Carolina Meat Goat Showmanship Circuit. It will be held at the Duplin County Events Center, please refer to the insert for directions.

Entry Fee:$10.00 nonrefundable fee per animal made payable to the Duplin County Livestock Fund

LATE FEE: A $10.00 LATE FEE WILL BE ASSESSED FOR ANY LATE ENTRIES.

Rules:

  1. The Carolina Meat Goat Circuit will follow the rules of each local show.
  2. All horn tips must be dulled and/or blunt.
  3. Animals used in competition must be entered in the show in the name of the show exhibitor. The show committee may make exceptions to this rule.
  4. Age divisions are based on the exhibitor’s age as of January 1, 2014.
  5. All goats must have an ear tag or tattoo number. In addition, all animals must have a scrapie tag.
  6. Monetary prizes will be distributed via mail after the show.
  7. All decisions made by the Show Committee are final.
  8. Meat goats must have all baby teeth the day of the show.
  9. Animals must be does or wethers; no bucks will be allowed to show.
  10. Entries will be divided into classes at the show chairman’s direction.
  11. All animals will be released following completion of the entire show.
  12. All animals exhibited must meet NC health requirements. Exhibitors must obtain health papers and have them available for inspection.
  13. Each Exhibitor is limited to two market kids.
  14. Registration will begin at 4 pm. All animals must be registered one hour before the show.
  15. Unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated.
  16. Market kids must be dry at weighing.
