Economical and dynamic summer tyres from Semperit
Hanover / Essen, June 2010. Semperit's directionally-orientated models Comfort-Life and Speed-Life are high-quality summer tyres in the medium price bracket that meet the requirements of compact cars as well as those of medium range and luxury vehicles.
Economical and safe - the Semperit Comfort-Life
Semperit's Comfort-Life is ideal for use on compact cars - with its conspicuous elliptical tread lugs, this tyre offers particularly low rolling resistance and quiet running on subcompacts and compact cars. It is available in a total of 47 sizes for speeds from 190 km/h to 210 km/h (118 - 131 mph) as an 80 to 55 Series tyre. The choice ranges from the slim 135/80 R 13 T to the 175/55 R 15 T. Some sizes also come as XL versions with increased load bearing capability. In the ADAC's most recent test (March 2010), the Comfort-Life gained the rating 'recommended', together with the comment 'Particularly good in terms of fuel consumption'.
The tyre's balanced driving characteristics on both wet and dry roads make the Comfort-Life a convincing choice. Its three wide and deep circumferential grooves ensure good aquaplaning protection, whilst a multiplicity of tread lug edges mean short braking distances in the wet. This tyre's flat contour and a tread compound developed for low rolling resistance mean that low fuel consumption and high mileage performance can be achieved. The tread pattern is not just modern and trendy to look at - its gently-curved lateral grooves enter the ground contact patch gradually, thereby ensuring low rolling noise.
Dynamic and comfortable - the Semperit Speed-Life
As a solution for sports cars and other more powerful vehicles the Semperit portfolio has the Speed-Life in 64 different sizes, ranging from 65 Series tyres right down to 35 Series - from the 195/65 R 15 H to the 235/35 R 19 W (ZR). Some sizes which carry the Speed Index Y are approved for up to 300 km/h (187 mph). The 45, 40 and 35 Series models all feature a scuff rib, as do the 17" 50 Series tyres.
The use of state-of-the-art full silica compounds in the Semperit Speed-Life means that this tyre provides excellent grip on wet roads, as well as boasting low wear and low rolling resistance. The tyre engineers also gave this model a symmetrical, directionally-orientated tread pattern with four circumferential tread grooves. This means that, in conjunction with the sweeping lateral channels, the tyre is able to quickly pick up and discharge water from the ground contact patch - for effective aquaplaning protection. A rugged central rib and sturdy shoulder lugs ensure good driving dynamics, safe driving stability and a precise response to steering movements even at higher speeds.
