Biblical and Historical proof that Zeus is Jehovah (Jhwh)
In the article on the analysis of the Name of Jhwh or ζηωηand Zeus or Jehovah we have given adequate explanation to convince you that Zeus and Jehovah are indeed the same god.
In this very short article we shall furnish Biblical and historical references proving that this is indeed so:
In the very beginning of the book of EZRA in the King James Bible (EZRA II in the Greek Septuagint version), we read:
1In the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah would be accomplished, (this is the prophecy about the 70-year captivity of the Judeans in Babylon), the LORD stirred up the spirit ofCyrus king of Persia so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom and also put in writing:
2-4 “Thus says Cyrus king of Persia: The LORD, the God of Heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the Earth, and has charged me to build him a house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah. Whoever is among you of all his people, may his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah, and rebuild the house of the LORD, the God of Israel ― he is the God who is in Jerusalem; and let each survivor, in whatever place he sojourns, be assisted by the men of his place with gold and silver, with goods and with beasts, besides freewill offerings for the house of God which is in Jerusalem”.
The question is now “Who is this ‘LORD-God of Heaven’, that instructed King Cyrus?”
It is written in Persian history, and you can also refer to ‘Xenophon’s Cyropaedia’ for it, that the God of Heaven that Cyrus and his grandfather Astyages king of the Medes worshiped and to whom Cyrus referred to as the God of his ancestors, in whose name king Cyrus took oath in every statement he made, whom Cyrus worshiped not in temples but on the top of sacred hills and to whom Cyrus instructed his soldiers to offer one tenth of their loot, is Zeus. The second deity that Cyrus and his Persians worshiped was Hestia, Zeus’ sister. (Cyrus was a descendant of the‘Great Ionians’ (Da Yuan) and campaigned to free all slaves, including his fellow Ionians, the Pyrrhies (thetrue Hellenes), from slavery in Greece).
It is unthinkable that this‘LORD-God of Heaven’that gave Cyrus authority over all the other kingdoms on Earth, would instruct Cyrus to build a temple not to himself but to another ‘LORD-God’, unless the two ‘LORDS-Gods’ were buddies.
However, this must be ruled out by the first commandment thatJehovahgave to the Israelites: “I am Jehovah your God. You shall have no other Gods but me.” (Later rendering: “I am the LORD your God. You shall have no other Gods but.”)
― Actually Zeusthe ‘Living god’ was the Patriarchof the Adamites; a ‘human god’.
Note:Cyrus’ Persian Empire was the only Empire in antiquity that did not subscribe to the ‘slavery culture’ and abolished slavery throughout its dominions. This was the main reason for its clash with the Athenian and Spartan Empires. Athens had more than 250.000 slaves, most of them redheads and called ‘Pyrrhies’,(Pyrrha’s offspring): the trueHellenes. Demetrius Phalereusrefers to a census of Attica(greater Athens) in the 5th century:21000 citizens, 10000 ‘paroikoi’ (immigrants) and 400000slaves. At Plataea the armored Spartan freemen were5000 and their Helot (slave) archers numbered 35000.
