UW-Madison School of Nursing holds the internal student call and the deadline is September 19th to submit your abstract. The student call is only open to students. Please contact Carol Aspinwall, for more details.

Scholarship: The Midwest Nursing Research Society (MNRS) is pleased to announce MNRS Student Research Scholars’ Awards (https://www.mnrs.org/scholarship-award). Each award is $500. The purpose of these awards is to encourage MNRS student members to present their research that advances nursing science and practice. Awards are offered in the areas of Graduate Research and Undergraduate Research. Funds are available to poster presenters that have been accepted as a result of the MNRS Student Call for Posters. Research being presented may be quantitative or qualitative, and may be on any topic relevant to the nursing profession in the presenter’s country.

Research Interest Groups: Research Interest Groups, or RIGs, are groups of MNRS members who share common research interests (https://www.mnrs.org/research-interest-groups-rigs). All MNRS members are welcomed and encouraged to join one or more RIG (first RIG membership included in MNRS membership fees). RIGs communicate throughout the year (e.g., through linkedin or the RIG listserv) and meet in person at the conference. RIG offerings include, for example, RIG member symposia and RIG awards (e.g., Undergraduate Research Award, Graduate Research Award, New Investigator Award, Best Paper Award). There is also wonderful opportunity to develop your leadership skills by serving a 3-year term as RIG Chair-Elect (your observation year where you learn from the Chair), RIG Chair (your leadership year), and RIG Past-Chair (your outgoing year where you guide the new Chair as needed). RIG members have been incredibly grateful for and encouraging of ESN members who contribute to MNRS in this way. Please consider!
