How do you determine place value, compare, and order whole numbers and decimals?
Paragraph Description of Culminating Activity:
Introduce the stock market to the students. Bring in newspapers to show listings of NYSE and NASDAQ. Compare stock activity over several days. Have students select several companies to follow over a period of time. The students will keep a journal of their stock activity, comparing and contrasting the rise and fall of each stock.
