Focus on quality and environmental compatibility

LEDON is ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified

LEDON Lamp GmbH has received two certifications from TÜV Austria. These certifications relate to the application of a quality management system in accordance with ISO 9001 and an environmental management system in accordance with ISO 14001. The provider of LED lighting solutions has thereby set an important signal regarding the raising of quality awareness and environmental protection at work.

System quality

“The certification of our quality management system according to ISO 9001 helps us systematise our strict quality assurance processes. They will be consolidated and improved by the standard and reviewed in the future on an on-going basis,” said LEDON’s Managing Director, Reinhard Weiss, explaining the benefits that come with the newly implemented quality standard. Processes that are affected include, for instance, those to plan and realise products, as well as to monitor product quality and customer satisfaction. The quality management system documented according to ISO 9001 also improves the flow of information and enables performance at a process, product or customer level to be optimally evaluated and compared.

Economic viability hand in hand with the environment

The aim of implementing an environmental management system in accordance with ISO 14001 is to promote environmental protection and to reduce factors that influence and negatively impact the environment. “With this certification, LEDON is committed to its environmental responsibility and undertakes to improve its carbon footprint, as well as to avoid having a damaging effect on the environment,” explains Reinhard Weiss. This is in line with the company’s mission statement in which economic action always goes hand in hand with environmental considerations. ISO 14001 certification comprises a range of measures including those to save energy, conserve resources and reduce waste, as well as to improve logistics and warehousing.
