Entering Applicant and Proposed Insured’s Information

Click on ‘File’ then click on ‘New Applications’.

Click the drop-down menu to select the application state, then click ‘Accept’.

Type in the proposed insured’s information.

You must always enter this information before you can load a specific product app or start the laptop presentation. (To show the laptop presentation, you only need to type in the prospect’s name, date of birth, and sex.)

The proposed insured’s height is always entered in feet and 2 digits for inches. For example, an insured who is 6 feet, 3 inches will be entered as 6, 03.

Type in the residence address, home phone number, and contact time for the quality assurance call (QAC).

The e-mail address is optional.

Type in the employment information for the applicant.

Choose the location for the QAC call – at home or at work.

The person listed in block ‘A’ is always the Applicant/Employee and can also be an insured. The ‘Will be an Insured’ box is automatically checked so the applicant’s name will appear in the coverage section of the application. If the applicant will not be insured, click the box to uncheck it.

Type in the same information for the next insured. Under ‘Other Insureds’, click ‘B’.

The relationship to the applicant is required. As long as the applicant is the insured, spouse, parent, or grandparent, we will accept any beneficiary listed. The beneficiary must have an insurable interest in the life of the insured. The insured, spouse, parent, or grandparent, are the only acceptable applicants for an e-app. Other applicants, such as a guardian, must be submitted on a paper app and will be underwritten to determine insurable interest.

If the address is the same, you can click the ‘Same as Applicant’ box and the information will be filled in automatically.

Type in employment information. If the spouse is not employed, type ‘none’ for Employer and ‘housewife’ for Occupation/Duties.

Under ‘Other Insureds’, click ‘C’, to continue adding family members for coverage.

After all of this information has been entered for each family member, you should save the application.

Click on ‘File’, then ‘Save Applications’, and last ‘OK’. This information will be saved so you can retrieve it at a later date. This is beneficial if you are interrupted and the client cannot continue the interview or if you don’t close the sale and need to come back at a different time.
