Larry Ludden, Jr. Memorial Scholarship 2011-2012
While enrolled at Arizona State University, Larry Ludden was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity and participated in numerous chapter and campus activities. His largest contribution was putting his “heart” towards his chapter. To commemorate the value of his Greek experience, his family and friends have endowed a scholarship given annually to undergraduate members of ASU’s fraternities and sororities. One sorority member and one fraternity member will be selected this spring to receive a $1,500 scholarship. The awards will be distributed in fall 2011.
To be eligible for application AND award distribution, the successful candidate must:
· be an initiated member of a Greek letter organization that is recognized by Arizona State University
· be an active member in good standing with their chapter
· have been initiated at least six months prior to their application
· be enrolled full time (12 hours) at ASU
· have at least sophomore standing (more than 25 semester hours)
· have attained at least a 2.75 cumulative grade point average at the time of application
· be returning to ASU as an undergraduate for the 2011-2012 academic year
This scholarship is intended for individuals who contribute to their chapters without necessarily being the top leader or having the highest grade point average. It is intended to recognize the person with the most “heart”.
Completed application packets should be accompanied by two letters of recommendation, one being from the chapter advisor, and must be submitted to the Fraternity & Sorority Life by 5 pm on Friday, December 3, 2010.
NO LATE APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED!
Questions regarding the application or supportive materials should be addressed to: Jennifer Stults Krasnow - Assistant Director, Student Engagement at 480.965.2935.
Applications are available in the Fraternity & Sorority Life Office.
Applications are due to Fraternity & Sorority Life by 5 pm on Friday, December 3, 2010.
