REUNION 2017 TOURS
Thursday, April 27th...
Depart the hotel at 11 AM on the ABQ TROLLEY for their 90 minute Best of ABQ City Tour...a fantastic way to get to know the layout as the driver and guide (2 people) give you an "up close and personal" view of Albuquerque! (check them out at The Trolley Tour will end at the Albuquerque Hotel in Old Town Albuquerque. Stroll the plaza, have lunch on your own at one of the many restaurants, cafes or coffee shops and then visit one of the museums and/or see some of the stores or galleries for unique gifts from the southwest. Explore quiet hidden patios, winding brick paths, gardens and balconies waiting to be discovered! An Old Town area map will be provided to each person. Return to the Albuquerque Hotel where the trolley dropped you off after the tour earlier for a return trip to the MCM Elegante Hotel at 2:45 PM on the trolley. If you want to return to the hotel at a different time, talk to Bob. The hotel shuttle will accommodate us!
Tour cost is $25 and includes all transportation and gratuities with lunch on your own. Participation is limited to the first 34 to sign up. After the first 34, we will do what we can about a "plan B"!
Friday, April 28th...
Depart the hotel at 9 AM via Motor Coach and arrive at the National Museum of Nuclear Science and History( for about an hour and a half in the morning, then on to theSandia Peak Aerial Tramway( a 2.7 mile tramway ride to the top through 4 of the 7 life zones found in N. America. Traversing these zones is like taking a trip from Mexico City to Alaska! Once atop the peak, (10,378 feet above sea level) marvel at the breathtaking scenery and panoramic views in all directions. After coming back down, enjoy lunch on our own at theThur Shan Buffet atSandia Resort and Casino ( After lunch it's on to the Anderson-Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum ( foran hour or so and thenback to the MCM Elegante. We will return to the hotel by 4:30 PM. Visit the websites above to get a clearer picture of what this tour is all about. Please be aware... the top of Sandia Peak is above 10,000 feet elevation... so drink lots of water the 24 hours previous and bring a light jacket as the temperature up there may be 30 degrees cooler.
