ACT 10: 2-VIEW ORTHOGRAPHIC TECHNICAL DRAWING
Specifications from TSA rules p.118-119 2014-2015 Events Guide
A. The final dragster drawing must be submitted on grid lined, graph, or plain 11x17 sized paper. The borders must be 12mm sides and top and bottom. A 12mm high title block bar should be above the bottom border. The block should have a separate space for the student TSA member number, scale, and units of measure(metric)
B. The top and side views should located equally between the top border and the top of the title block.
C. The front and rear views should be centered equally from the left and right sides.
D. Dimension lines are thin with small half arrows, no units are including with measurements.
E. All dimension lines are 5-6mm (.25in) apart. Smallest dimension is closest to body.
F. All lines are drawn with a straight edge, ruler, or circle template when necessary.
G. Dimension lines do not touch body or wheels
Dimensions needed:
____ D2: Overall Body Length (200-305mm)
____ D3: Overall height from road/track surface (55mm max)
____ D5a: Body width where front axle goes through wood body (36-42mm)
____ D5b: Body width where rear axle goes through wood body (36-42mm)
____ D6: Body width maximum (12mm min to 50mm max)
____ A2a: Distance between the bottom of front axle hole to bottom of car body (6-9mm)
____ A2b: Distance between the bottom of rear axle hole to bottom of car body (6-9mm)
