Objetivos:

SWBAT

  1. Explain about their trip to a foreign country using the preterite verbs.
  2. Use verbs in the preterite tense with the correct conjugations.
  3. Execute a poster displayingpictures and complete sentences in the target language.
  4. Conjugate –AR, -ER, -IR and irregular verbs in the past tense.

Normas:

  • Standard 1.2:Students understand and interpretwritten and spokenlanguage on a variety of topics.
  • Standard 2.1:Students demonstrate an understanding of the relationship between the practices and perspectives of the culture studied.
  • Standard 3.1:Students reinforce and further their knowledge of other disciplines through the foreignlanguage.
  • Standard 4.2:Students demonstrateunderstanding of the concept of culture throughcomparisons of the cultures studied and their own.

Materiales:

  1. Trifold Poster (talk to me individually if you have anyconcerns in obtaining one)
  2. Markers, crayons or color pencils
  3. Glue or gluestick and scissors
  4. White Paper

Instrucciones:

  1. Complete the country checklist questions for your country.
  2. Translate the Spanish vocabulary into English
  3. On a seperate sheet of paper, conjugate the list of verbs in the preterite tense using the 5 forms. (Will distribute the list of verbs 2.17.16)
  4. Use 15verbs in the preterite tense to tell me about your trip.

Note:

  • Verbs MUST NOT repeat
  • Must be in complete sentences in Spanish (Natives)
  • Check your spelling
  • Verbs, pronouns and vocabulary MUST be usedcorrectly in Spanish
  • Must be in Spanglish sentences (Non Natives)
  • Verbs, pronouns and vocabulary given to you MUST be used in Spanish.
  • Unless I tell you to write them all in Spanish.
  • Check your spelling
  • Do not Google translate
  1. Each sentence must have a picture representing your country.
  • You can draw your images

  • You can print your own images
  • Remember that your poster must have some color
  1. Create a template for your 15 sentences on a seperate sheet of paper.
  1. Poster must display :Make sure everything is visible
  2. Name of your country
  3. Flag
  4. Sentences in the past tense using 15 different verbs. (CANNOT repeat)
  5. 15 Pictures/drawings
  6. Verb must be underlined
  7. Vocabulary word must be circle
  8. Name, period and date
  1. DUE DATE + presentations:
  • 1st, 3rd and 5th period: February 25th, 2016
  • 2nd and 6th period: February 26th, 2016
  • No presentation = no grade
  1. Turn in your checklistanswers, vocabulary translations, verb conjugationsand sentence templatefor a grade!
