1Students entering with a MS with no predetermined course deficiencies and have met the core course requirements for the PhD Nutrition Program. Students entering within 5 years of receiving their MS degree in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa are exempt from the Qualifying Examination requirements. Course requirements are subject to change at any time. Each student's specific course of study will be developed in consultation with their dissertation advisor and will depend on their background preparation and interests.
