WR 121
Presentation Guidelines
Instead of doing writing groups for Paper 3, we’ll be doing in-class presentations. You will sign up for the day to give your presentation in advance, then come to class ready to go. Since we are presenting in place of writing groups, you will offer others feedback on their presentations and ideas for Paper 3. Guidelines for the presentation include:
- You should speak for 4-6 minutes. Aim for somewhere in the middle—don’t go over or under.
- Don’t just read your paper aloud. Summarize and give the class the main points.
- Tell the class what sources you are using and what information you use from them. Remember you can use the chalkboard if you wish.
- You may include a handout for the class if you think it will enhance your presentation (and your grade!).
- Bring your image to show the class. You can use the overhead if you wish.
**The purpose of the presentation is for you to put all your thoughts and writing into a comprehensible presentation. The more coherent and complete your presentation is, the better your paper will be (most likely!!)**
