Wood River Township Board Meeting

WOOD RIVER TOWNSHIP BOARD MEETING

May 29, 2012

The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees was held on the above date in the Town Hall, 33 South Ninth Street, East Alton, Illinois. The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Mike Babcock at 6:30 p.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was said at Budget Hearings. The Clerk took roll with the members answering present: Mr. Babcock, Mr. Dettmers, Mrs. Jacob, Mr. Pollard and Mr. Stassi. Also present at the meeting was Assessor Thelma Kochan and Township Attorney Don Weber.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Mr. Pollard made a motion to approve the minutes of the April 24, 2012 Meeting of the Wood River Township Board of Trustees. Mr. Stassi seconded the motion and on roll call vote the board unanimously approved the minutes of the April 24, 2012 Meeting of the Township Board.

APPOINTMENTS

Mr. Babcock stated there is a present Wood River Township Hospital Board member who has not sent a letter requesting to be re-appointed. In response to that, he has been pursuing someone interested in that position. He introduced Mr. Chris Herzog. Mr. Herzog spoke briefly about himself. Mrs. Jacobs made a motion to appoint Mr. Herzog as a trustee to the Wood River Township Hospital Board. Mr. Dettmers seconded the motion and on roll call vote the board unanimously appointed Mr. Herzog.

TREASURER’S REPORT AND APPROVAL OF BILLS

Mr. Stassi made a motion to approve the payment of the bills. Mr. Pollard seconded the motion and on roll call vote the board unanimously approved the payment of the bills.

OLD BUSINESS

Mr. Pollard asked about the article in the paper concerning the cemetery. Mr. Babcock stated the cemetery will probably never be pristine, but it is better than it has been.

NEW BUSINESS

Mrs. Jacobs made a motion to adopt Prevailing Wage Ordinance 2012-3. Mr. Dettmers seconded the motion and on a unanimous roll call the board approved the Prevailing Wage Ordinance 2012-3.

ADJOURNMENT

Mr. Stassi made a motion to adjourn the meeting, Mr. Pollard seconded the motion and on a unanimous roll call vote the meeting was adjourned at 6:41 p.m.
