The UCH Nurses' League was founded in 1909, and was a non-profit making organisation that existed for the benefit of UCH nurses. On January 1st 2016 The League became a charity and changed its name to The UCH London Nurses’ Charity. It remains a non-profit making organisation run by Trustees who are all volunteers. It is appealing for more nurses (past and present) from UCH to join them.
Becoming an associate of the UCH London Nurses’ Charity entitles you to the following:
§ Members’ magazine issued annually
§ Updates on the hospital, colleagues and friends
§ Access to regular Charity functions, including The Annual Study Morning and Trustee Meeting with lunch held in April, and The Autumn Lunch held in October.
There is access to funding, help and support through two funds: The Benevolent Fund and the Education Fund. The Christine Harcourt-Smith Awards are presented annually, and The Janet Hull memorial Fund Travel Scholarship is available to help past UCH and present UCLH nurses with travel costs in pursuit of professional nursing studies.

As well as offering membership of the Charity, there is a variety of items for sale, including pin badges, bags, pens and notecards with all profits going to the charity.

UCH London Nurses' Charity is a non- profit making organisation that exists for the benefit of UCH nurses. By belonging to the Charity you are able to keep in touch with the hospital, your colleagues and friends through the magazine, issued annually to members, and by attending the regular Charity functions.
The Benevolent Fund, a charitable trust run by the UCH London Nurses' Charity, gives practical help and support to those members in need.
The Education Fund can provide financial help to members wishing to embark on further nursing studies. Applicants must have been UCH London Nurses' Charity members for at least one year.
Subscriptions: 5 year membership is available for £65.00, or annual membership is available for £15, renewable annually on the 1st January.
