A LEVEL RESULTS – 13th August 2015
Advice and Consultation
We hope you have been successful with your exam results:
· If you achieved your required grades to get into your 1st or 2nd choice - well done. You don’t need to take any action. Your place will be confirmed by UCAS.
· If you narrowly missed your grades, check UCAStrack to see if you have been accepted by your firm or insurance choice. Only ring UCAS if UCAStrack is inconclusive.
· If you did not get into your first or insurance choice on UCAS because you have dropped a grade or two, you should call your 1st and 2nd choice University immediately to see if they will still accept you, or, if not, go through “Clearing” to get a place. See UCAS for your reference number and call University Clearing lines as soon as possible or apply online through their website for a place. NO clearing places are allocated until 5pm on results day.
· Help with Clearing is available in Careers- see times below (we can book you a 1-1 slot for later, even if it’s busy).
· If you achieved grades higher than you needed for your firm choice you could look at adjustment to see if there is a place available at a more competitive university. College staff can advise you about this on results day.
· Other plans or issues? – help is available in Careers- see times below.
· Exam result queries. The exams office and /or members of SLT will be available to deal with any queries you may have and to process remarks etc. to the exam boards on a daily basis. (See Post-results GCE Summer 2015 on Woodle).
