Responsible to: Quality and Operations Manager
*Prior to each school holiday, SELFA contacts all Sessional Staff with details of planned activities, at various locations. Staff can then advise when they are available to work.
Job Description
- To assist at SELFA workshops, trips and clubs to ensure their smooth and reliable operation.
- To be part of the team providing a safe, stimulating environment for the children and young people, with creative and appropriate play opportunities.
- To help ensure that the arrival and departure of children is properly recorded and monitored.
- To be responsible, with other team members, for ensuring that materials and equipment are properly used, maintained and stored and for reporting any worn or damaged materials to the session leader.
- To help to ensure that the premises are left tidy and clean.
- To liaise with parents and others in a professional manner to promote goodwill towards the Charity, its efficient operation and its effective marketing.
- To adhere to SELFA policies and procedures, ensuring safeguarding, health and safety and other duties of care are met.
- If qualified, to administer or supervise any first aid as required and appropriate.
- If qualified, to transport young people to and from activities where required
- To assist in ensuring the safety of all in the event of a fire/drill or other emergency.
- To receive and securely store payments and donations.
- To ensure all monitoring and recording systems are being used effectively.
- To attend meetings and training as appropriate.
- Any other related duties as from time to time may be required.
