Job Title: /Accounts Payable Supervisor

Purpose:
The Accounts Payable (A/P) Supervisor will be responsible for assisting the Manager in day to day oversight of the accounts payable team. This position will ensure invoice entry, coding, posting and payments are accurate and timely. Ensure that the team follows all Company policies and procedures surrounding the disbursement process. Support the operations group by accurately recording payables and disbursing funds on a timely basis. Build and maintain a scalable disbursement function.
Job Functions:
- Develop, implement and maintain A/P systems, procedures and policies to ensure timely processing of payments
- Ensure all vendors are paid per contractual terms and that inquires and payment issues are responded to in a timely manner
- Review and approve vendor invoices for data entry, GL coding and compliance with approval policies
- Review and post payment batches
- Organize and prepare ACH and check distributions
- Help supervise the A/P team and provide leadership to enhance the group’s performance
- Assist Managerwith monthly closing of financial records, month end accruals and related entries, prepare account reconciliations, and prepare and provide analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial statements
- Assist with the maintenance and testing of internal controls, accounting policies and audit request as it relates to the accounts payable function
- Maintain 1099 filings and accuracy of vendor master file for 1099 reporting requirements
- Work closely with the accounting team and other departments throughout the organization
- Actively take part in the implementation of Concur expense report, imaging workflow processes
- Evaluate and improve disbursement function efficiency with technology or improved workflow
- Document relevant policies / procedures around the disbursements process. Keep updated
- Provide direction to staff along with written procedures and policies in adherence to company guidelines
- Integrate wire, EFT, and ACH disbursements into Concur Travel and A/P expense workflow
- Perform other tasks as assigned
Supervisory Requirements:
Assist in supervision of the Accounts Payable team. Prior supervisory experience required.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
Position will work directly from the corporate office with minimum travel.

Education / Experience / Skill Set:
1.Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience in A/P or procurement
2.Minimum five years of A/P experience required
3.Minimum threeyears of supervisory/managerial experience with proven ability to lead, manage and develop a team in a high-volume A/P environment
4.Prior experience working with Dynamics AX, Great Plains or similar accounting system. Concur travel and A/P expense systems experience Preferred
5.Good knowledge of accounting practices, procedures and regulations governing accounting practices
6.Effective in an entrepreneurial culture, working independently and as part of a team
7.Excellent internal and external customer service skills
8.Strong detailed analytical skills, including advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and v-lookups.
9.Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.
10.Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment.
