2015 Wildcat Athletic Department Fall Kickoff Dinner

Points of Emphasis:
1)Athletic Directors: Dave Grim (cross country, basketball, wrestling, track)
Jake Runge (football, volleyball, baseball, softball)
2)Eligibility process for athletes:
-Need current pre-participation examination by doctor
-Need forms signed and submitted to athletic director (see below #4)
-Stay eligible academically (pass all of your classes)
3)Become a Booster Club Member (help support Wildcat Athletics). The LNBC continues to fund a large portion of the Athletic Department needs. We need YOUR support to continue our fine athletic tradition. Membership entitles you to: family pass for free admission to ALL Luther North regular season home competitions for your immediate family members (parents, children). (IHSA tournament games not included); voting privileges at the Spring Booster Club membership meeting.
4)Volunteer and sign up for concession stand help. (we expect ALL parents to help in the concession stand periodically). Those that have financial aid service hours should sign up to help sell tickets at games as well as helping in the concession stand.

5)The following forms need to be read, filled out, and returned to the athletic director (preferably tonight):
- READ: Luther North College Prep Athletic Handbook
- FILL OUT/RETURN: Luther North Personal Information Form and Waiver
- READ: IHSA Concussion Information Sheet, IHSA Performance-Enhancing Substance Testing Policy, IHSA Steriod Testing Policy Consent to Random Testing
- SIGN/RETURN: IHSA Sports Medicine Acknowledgement & Consent From and Asthma Medication Consent Form (if applicable)
- Some you may also need to sign/fill out sections of physical exam forms or even obtain an updated exam for this current school year.
6)Team Athletic Trainer – provided thru AthletiCo (trainer is to be assigned)

7)Luther North Athletic Department Website – has complete information regarding athletics, individual team schedules, directions to event locations, last minute cancellations/postponements, game results, etc.

9)Please communicate with your coaches. Please ask to set up an appointment to talk. Do NOT expect that the coach will be able to speak with you on game day (prior to or after). Be sure you have discussed the problem with the coach before approaching the athletic director about the issue.
10)Be sure to exhibit good sportsmanship at all of our contests, home and away.
IHSA Do What’s Right! Expectations:
- Represents their school and community well with positive interaction with opposing fans and players.
- Uses positive yells, chants, songs or gestures.
- Display modesty in victory and graciousness in defeat.
- Respect and acknowledge the integrity/judgment of officials.
- Exhibit positive behavior with opponents and fans before, during and after the contest.
