I am pleased to inform you that you have been selected for a Graduate Student Research Assistantship (GSRA) position for the Fall 2013 and Winter 2014 semesters. Your appointment begins September 1, 2013 and ends April 30, 2014.

This offer is contingent upon a successful criminal and credential background check consistent with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Upon receipt of your acceptance of the position, our University Human Resources Office will contact you in order to complete the background check.

This GSRA appointment offer is contingent upon evidence of identity and employment eligibility as required by the Immigration and Reform Act of 1986. The university will send several emails prompting you to take immediate action to complete the employment eligibility form (I-9) in the University Human Resources office and to verify your personal data online. Please follow the directions in the email to complete this process before your start date.

It is your responsibility to understand weekly workload expectations, and you should consult with (Name of Faculty Supervisor) to discuss the details of your position. Your faculty supervisor will be asked to provide periodic reports on your progress and performance in this position. Please remember that you are required to maintain a minimum enrollment in each term of your appointment (number of credit hours varies; please consult the enclosed GSRA Program Guidelines for details) and that your cumulative GPA must remain at a 5.0 (B) or above. Note that failure to meet any ofthe requirements of a GSRA could result in revocation of your appointment and any remaining payments of the stipend.
