Summer Coach Contact Days:

Coaches will run the practice drills designed to improve individual skills with a camp-style approach. Come when you can for all or part of the session.

All at the Middle School

June 7th 4-6pm (Wed)July 7th 5 – 7 (Fri) outdoors

June 27th 5 – 7 (Tues)July 21th 5 - 7pm (Fri)

July 30th 5 – 7 (Sun)

There is no Fall Sports Night.

  • Complete the on-line athletic registration on the school website before practice starts in the Fall.
  • Forms will not be accepted at practice in the Fall, they must be turned into the office.
  • The school office will be open again around the beginning of Aug to turn in fees etc.

The 2016 Volleyball Season will begin on Monday, August 14th from 4:30 – 8pm.

  • We will break during the session to eat a light snack/meal, so bring food with you.
  • We will have a parents meeting the night of our first night of practice, Aug 14th.
  • Mon, Tues, and Wed4:30 – 8pm. Teams will be selected Tuesday night/Wed.
  • Thurs - Fri schedule will be set by team, but will be in the evenings.
  • Varsity players should reserve all of Thursday afternoon for additional events.
  • The season game schedule is available through the school website, and on the Amery volleyball webpage calendar.

Additional Summer Opportunities:

  • Summer Varsity League(open to last year Varsity and JV players, and any setters) 5 Monday’s in Amery: 6.26, 7.10, 7.17, 7.22, 7.31
  • Summer Junior Varsity League:(Open to incoming freshmen – last year JV players)Wednesday Evenings:Barron Community League.
  • Amery Volleyball 1on1 CampJune 12-15. Contact Coach Markee for registration forms or Amery Volleyball web page. Can register and Pay on line. Boosters is discounting pricing for each player.
  • Weight Room at school open / programs through summer
  • On your own: Handling the volleyball and performing self-checks on skills. We can get you a ball.
  • Strength & Endurance Training / Exercise: Volleyball is a game of quick short bursts of intense energy: (search: exercise for volleyball conditioning): core strength, jumping, agility, short burst exercises, arm swing follow through muscles, stretching hip flexors, shoulder strength.
