Children? Yes , three
3) What was your first job? I babysat for my neighbors kids everyday.
4) What did you want to be when you were young? A hairdresser
5) Are you involved in community service? What? Why or why not?
I am deeply involved with my church. I hold fundraisers and awareness
meetings every Wednesday
6) What is your opinion about women changing their last name after
marriage? Would or did you change your last name? Why or why not?
I think it’s entirely up to the woman. Every one thinks different. I
personally feel like my last name makes me who I am and stands for
something. I would not change it.
7) Do you think a man is looked at differently if he stays home to take
care of his children? Would your family approve of this type of arrangement?
I think men are looked at differently but shouldn’t be. If I had a man
who wanted to stay at home and take care of the kids I would be ecstatic.
I haven’t found one yet though. My family would approve because they know
what a struggle it is to take care of my children on my own.
8) Should the dominant breadwinner in a relationship have more say or
power in that relationship (for example, to determine how the money is
used)? Five or ten years ago did you expect to make more or less money
than your partner? Do you feel the same way today?
No. That is way there are so many marital problems in this world. Power
takes over a relationship and ruins it. I used to feel horrible for not
bringing a good amount of money but I realized I am just as important to
be taking care of the children night and day. Today, I feel the same. My
marriage would have been different if there weren’t problems with money
and power.
9) In your experience, does parenting differ for sons and daughters?
Please explain.
I treat my daughters differently then I do my sons because I feel that in
today’s world girls must be raised to be stronger against all the
stereotypes. I also know that my son wont grow up to be a crazy man
because he sees the way I am raising my daughters and will know that
women deserve the same respect as men.
10) What do you think of feminists? What do you think their goals are? Do
you know any feminists? Would you consider yourself one? Why or why not?
I consider myself a feminist. I think I realized how important feminism
was after my marriage failed for many reasons. I used to be
blind. I didn’t realize how much I was being taken advantage of.
Today I realize how strong of a woman I am and how important it is for
Today’s females to overcome lots of boundaries. Its very important.
11) Do you think women are more likely to vote for a female presidential
candidate because they share the same gender? Why or why not?
I personally think women should not vote for a woman president just
because she is a woman, they should vote for who they think is best
regardless of gender.
