Agreed as correct,
Referring to Item 4.0 of the previous minutes. It was agreed that the membership letter of invitee’s needs to be addressed due to the low attendance to Advisory Board meetings.
OBA session cancelled, should have been October 2014, then January 2015 however nothing arranged as of yet.
BM unsure on the outcome of the soft market. A report has been submitted, still awaiting outcome.

18.00 / CO-ORDINATOR’S REPORT
BM introduced Co-ordinator report. Discussed this
happy with the IS outcome – funding agreed for another year.
Level 2 training – then another level of training afterwards.
EC circulated 16+ training to 6 people – unsure if attended EW/AD will be going on Tribunal training.

BM to circulate when summary produced, how LA will use this. BM circulate full report when received.
Work with parent ,the young person now turns 16+ freedom of information request – will SENDIASS information be included. EW to find Website
Cascaded information about Take over Day 2014 about what young carers want on the website.
Take Over Day 2014 was a very successful day with a lot gained.
Database
The discussion has been held as to whether it is possible to have access to Tribal database – (SENSAP records)
BM has contacted Daisy Russell to find out where team stand on sharing information.
School can’t see Tribal
Speak to Information Governance. Current database expensive has had a lot of add ons and amendments. Framework I. considered as an option – Social Care use this. EHCP – should be working together more?
Scope doesn’t have a national database.
To look at options available.
Leaflets
Blue scheme, approval – have it available in alternatively B+W for visual impairments and dyslexia. Edit with a letter in Top Right corner to identify leaflets.
Break text up with MENCAP pictures (these will not be on the B+W versions.

TERMLY REPORT (STATISTICS)
Last 2 columns show the behaviour and Choice Advisor referrals – still totalling 23.
Increase in stage 2 referrals.High behaviour and attachment referrals.
‘Pin’ specific reason for high numbers around EHC/StatementSchools held back on their requests initially.
Positive Discipline in schools, constant circle for pupils
Patrick Kelly monitoringinstances where Positive Discipline in schools is a barrier to children’s education.
South Leeds academy have most of their children with SEN in Elland Academy or Southways external / alternative provision.
UPDATE ON CONVERSIONS
No SENSAP Update due to absence of team.
SENDIASS Update;SENSAP put in place a good process for converting Statements to EHCP’s, but delays in getting reports has meant that the 20 weeks for completion has over run.
UPDATE ON CAPACITY
Due to capacity issues SENDIASS are unable to support parents with school visits a booklet has been produced to prompt parents with questions to ask.
Scope capacity is okay at the moment
Look through training – can they offer anything to relieve capacity issues of SENDIASS.
Arrange a meeting with Scope for team members to get to know each other.SENDIASS can approach SCOPE more comfortably.
CAPACITY WITHIN SCHOOLS
NE SILC – Woodhouse Site opening September 2015.
Hall Cliffe School (Wakefield) has opened.
Broomfield – 25 places which will then increase to 50.
Springhill in Ripon is another alternative provision for up to 19 years old.

Policy has Completed LCC legal process, currently going through health legal process.
COMPLAINTS AND COMPLIMENTS
No complaints – Team are supporting parents.

Teamcapacity – unable to support at school visits, parents are given poor advice by some schools
