Dear Parents,

Just to remind everyone that the FORH Summer Fair will be held this Saturday June 25th 12pm to 3pm.

This is always a lovely day for the school community and we hope that as many of you as possible can come along and support the event – whatever the weather! Thank you for all your support with donations, purchasing raffle tickets etc. Any further offers of help would be greatly appreciated, either to set up in the morning, clear away after the event or to man the stalls. Please contact FORH through the school office if you are able to offer even an hour of your time.

Meeting for Year 2 parents moving to year 3 in September

Just a reminder that there will be a meeting held in the main hall for our year 2 parents to talk about how we are preparing our children for the move to year three in September on Tuesday 5th July at 2.30pm. If you have not already done so, please return the reply slip from the letter sent out in May. Please see the school website if you need a copy of the letter.

Pabulum Tasting Day5th July-2.30pm -3.30pm Dining Hall

After the successful tasting day last year, Pabulum are running another tasting day where parents and carers are invited into the dining hall where they will be able to see the food set up, salad cart, desserts and get a look, feel and taste of what the children eat at lunchtimes. Paul, our head chef, the kitchen team and other Pabulum staff will be there to answer any questions re nutrition/healthy foods/ portion size and to take feedback from parents. Please do come and join us.

Parent Survey- School Lunches

We have had a lot of feedback as Pabulum come to the end of their first year with the school. A lot of praise for the meals, variety, introduction of salad bars and this has contributed to the whole school effort where we achieved a Gold Healthy Schools Award. However, we hear negative feedback as well and Pabulum are a company that really wants to work with the school and the parents to improve and we need your feedback. Please can you take the time to complete the survey below-(link on the front page of our school website which will direct you through easier) and it will take only 2 minutes to complete and be so helpful for us to receive your opinions. The survey closes on 3rd July. Paper copies are in the office if you would rather complete it that way and please come to the tasting day detailed above too.

Our school council have met and fed back pupil opinion through a class pupil survey so now it is the turn of the parents and we shall share the results with you in due course and our resulting action plan.

Bullers Wood School for Boys

Bullers Wood School would like to invite any interested parents to a consultation event to view the proposals for the new Bullers Wood School for Boys. The event is scheduled for Wed 29th June between 3.30 and 8.oo pm at Bullers Wood School for Girls.

M&S Uniform

We are currently running down our school uniform stock and will be transitioning across to Marks and Spencer with the website launching on 18th July with a 2 week introductory offer of 20% reductions on our logo itemed schoolwear. A letter has come home in book bags today giving more detailed information.
