THIS IS THE LETTER THAT IS SENT HOME REGARDING LATES (2015)
Dear
…………has been referred to me due to concerns with lateness to school. At present …………. has been late on ……. occasions. I enclose a registration certificate for your information.
Attendance at school and on time is a legal requirement. It is important if ………. is to achieve his/her potential in Year …… that he/she is on time. It also disrupts other pupils when he/she is late to class.
School opens the doors to pupils at 8:30am. Pupils must be in school at 8:45am to be in class for registration.
I hope we can count on your support to ensure that in future ………..attends on time. If you wish to discuss the reasons for the lateness with me, please telephone me on 01484 710408.
As the Attendance Officer for the school, I will be monitoring the situation and look forward to us working together so that there is sustained improvement in the future.
Yours sincerely
J Yardley
Attendance Officer
