Prerequisite Evaluation Form
A minimum of 36-38 semester credits in Earth Science and 22 credits in supporting science and mathematics courses is required.A minimum grade point average of 3.0 overall and in Earth Science is expected of all applicants. Applicants must provide evidence of satisfying the New York State Education World Language Requirement which is outlined on the last page of this form. As part of your application to the Master of Science in Secondary Education Program, please complete this form to the best of your ability and include it with your application.
The courses listed below are examples of the kinds of courses that would fulfill the requirements drawn from the Undergraduate Bulletin at the University at Albany. These courses or their equivalents should be a minimum of 3 credits each unless otherwise noted. A minimum of 18 of the 36 credits should be completed at or above the 300 level with at least one three-credit course at or above the 400 level. In some cases, applicants are admitted with deficiencies in their prerequisites which they are required to fulfill before completing the program.
