Visiting team and referee protocol
for football matches at HMP Hewell
· B97 6QQ is the Post Code for sat navs.
· From Tardebigge Pub drive towards Burcot
· Take first right sign posted HMP Hewell
· At the brick wall turn right to House Block 8
· If when arriving at the prison there is a row of cars waiting before the barrier overtake these cars as they are prisoner visitors and are not to be granted access until 10 (they should be waiting to the left giving you room to go past), overtake them, press the buzzer at the barrier let them know you’re here for the football match, they will then raise the barrier to let you in
· We ask that you all arrive together in a convoy to make it easier for the staff letting you in.
· Make sure you have a form of ID in case you are asked for one by the security staff
· Proceed forward and bear right where you will see the big house directly in front of you. Continue towards the house.
· Before you reach the courtyard (gate) bear right and you will be greeted by staff who will direct you to the changing area.
· Please leave all valuables and mobile phones locked in your cars or ask a non playing member of the team to look after them.
· The referee will be changing with the away team as we have no individual shower facility available
· After the match the PE staff will reopen the changing areas and you can get showered and changed
· On exit, drive back to the barrier and press button and inform staff that you are leaving.
