Windmill Hill Multi Activity Residential –
Wednesday June 6th – Friday June 8th, 2018
We have now booked the dates for the Annual Year 6 Residential Trip. Our year 6 classes enjoy themselves so much on these trips that we have decided to book a multi activity course with PGL again. PGL is the UK's leading provider of school trips and children's adventure holidays and we have booked a three day two night trip at Windmill Hill where an impressive Grade II listed mansion house stands in 21 acres of groundson the Sussex Downs. The centre has recently been expanded and improved and now has purpose built lodge accommodation and activity bases. Other facilities include a large sports hall, sports pitches and a heated outdoor pool. There will be six hours of activity sessions everyday with each session being led by a highly trained Activity Group Leader. Full board accommodation is provided with freshly cooked meals which include plenty of fruit, vegetables and salads. There will also be a full evening entertainment programme tailored to our group’s particular needs.
The children will be participating in some of the following available activities – Abseiling, Aeroball, Archery, Ball Sports, Bridge building, Canoeing, Challenge Course, Climbing, Eco Trail, Fencing, Giant Swing, Jacob’s Ladder, Orienteering, Raft Building and Zip Wire. The children will be travelling to and from Windmill Hill by private minibus leaving on Wednesday June 28th and returning on Friday June 30th.
We have booked 26 places for this trip as some children do chose not to go. The full cost per child is £239.00 plus the cost of transport which is usually £500 for the group. We realise that this is very expensive and so the school will be subsidising this trip by paying for the coach travel. The cost per child will be £239 which includes accommodation, supervised activities, all meals, transport and insurance.
If you require further financial help with the cost of this trip please speak to Mrs Pitman in the school office.
At this time we are requesting a £30 non-refundable deposit for your child to attend this residential trip. The 26 places will be given on a first come first served basis. In order to help with costs you may find it easier to pay in weekly/monthly instalments. A payment card will be issued once the deposit has been received.
