Briefly describe how the DART members will be contacted and told that they need to deploy.
Part 6 / SMART members who are on the ready roster would be notiied through a call down or constant contact notification system to get a ffinal roster of who is a vailable to deploy. Volunteers would have been on standby with go bags ready. No one would deploy until final requests had been made throgh local Emergency manager or DART team leader.

Part 16 / SMART volunteers would be selected from those members available and up to date with credentials. From these individuals a strike team leader would be designated as well as safety officer, logistics, comm etc. would be named. Strike team leader would be instructed to report to IC and proceed to staging area for further instructions. All members would notify AOwhen they left their dwelling and when they arrived at the site. Once the scope of the deployment is determined a rotation of volunteers would be decided.

Register evacuees and their animals using appropriate forms.
· Take photo of animal with their owner(s).
· Perform animal intake and health assessment.
· Assign animal to crate and properly label crate with owner identification.
· Maintain file of all animals currently in the Pet Friendly Shelter.
· Assist owners when they come to walk / feed / care for pet.
· Notify Incident Commander when owners are not caring for pets on a regular
schedule.
· Coordinate with veterinarian on-site to deal with pet health care issues.
· Monitor animals for stress / behavior problems.
· Monitor supplies, food and environmental conditions.
· Assist in break-down and cleaning of Pet Friendly Shelter and crates.

David Schwarz - State of Massachusetts Animal Response TeamPart 1 / As DART members begin to arrive at Hogwarts School they are met by the school’s principal. The principal is very concerned that his facility is going to be used to house pets.
Should one of the first actions to be taken upon meeting the principal be to conduct an inspection of the school to determine what portions of the facility can be used to set up a shelter as well as identifying any pre-existing damage to the building that needs to be noted?
Part 2 / Yes
Part 3 / If the above answer is yes. – Identify the ICS function that will be responsible for this inspection and briefly describe how this be accomplished.
Part 4 / Gail and Laura would be incharge of inspecting the school with the principal. The others may or may not tag along to get an idea of the facility layout. A special effrt would be made to inform the principal of the care that would be taken to assure no damage would occur to the school and their would be adequate clean up as part demob.
Part 5 / If the above answer is no. – Briefly explain why such an inspection would not be conducted.
