Welcome to Basketball Belles

I am so excited about this year’s season. The basketball teams are looking really good and we are going to have a blast.

Below are some of the items that we will be responsible for this year. Other duties may be added as needed throughout the season.

We will work the concession stand for all home games and tournaments (both Boys and Girls Varsity, JV, and Freshman). The number of concession stand duties you will need to work will depend on the number of belles we have sign up. Spread the word. We will take all that apply.

When you work the concession stand, please show up 15 minutes before your shift. If you can not make your shift, please find someone to work in your place and let me know about the trade. I keep up with the number of hours each Belle works. You will receive a certificate for community service at the end. This is great for college applications and sororities.

If you have long hair, it must be pulled back. You are working with food, so it is important that we are well groomed. Any bracelets need to be removed prior to entering the concession stand. Wear your Basketball Belle t-shirt or any other BJ t-shirt when working the concession stand. Do not wear tanks, camisoles or anything low cut.

Basketball Belles will pick a player and take care of them for the entire season. This includes putting together a goodie bag once a week for a home game. I will assign different weeks for different teams. One week may be varsity and another JV, freshman etc. You will not be on every week. Please pay attention to text messages so you do not miss. I will provide Gatorade, a treat and paper bags. You can come in before school and fill and decorate the bag for your player. You may add a favorite candy bar, snack, power bar, a few homemade cookies, add a note of encouragement etc. if you wish, though it is not necessary. If you want to put it in your own gift bag, please keep them small and simple. This is not a competition, nor is it a time to spoil your boyfriend if he happens to be your player. You can do that on your own time 

We will meet one Saturday to make signs for the season, pick our player, and sign up for concession stand duty. This meeting is mandatory and the date will be set later in October. Players will be picked in the following order, returning Basketball Belles (Seniors, Juniors) then new Belles which will be randomly drawn.

Basketball Belles get in all home games free (even if you are not working) once you have worked a concession shift. I encourage you to attend as many as you can. The team loves to see you sitting in the stands in your t-shirts cheering them on. Get as many people as you can to go.

As with all clubs and activities, Basketball Belles are expected to maintain the required GPA and to refrain from receiving disciplinary actions. Failure to keep a gradepoint above a 2.0 or being placed into ISS or OSS may result in being released from Basketball Belles.

Please remove and sign the bottom portion of this document. This is needed to participate in all future Basketball Belles events. I am so glad to have you on board. This is going to be a great season!
