Here are the assignments for your classes for Thursday, Friday and Monday.

Make sure that you are on task and working to your full potential. Do all assignments on loose leaf paper. Assignments are due on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 during class time.

Thursday and Friday/Period 1, 3, 4

A)  Complete God’s Covenant with our Ancestor’s of Faith Activity Sheet. Do not turn this in. We will review on Wednesday of next week

B)  Answer the following questions on loose leaf paper. These questions will be reviewed in class on Wednesday, September 21. Each question should have at least two to three sentences in the answer.

1.  Give an interpretation of the Protoevangelium using both the literal (exact words) and spiritual senses of the passage.

2.  How do the accounts of Cain and Abel and Noah and the Flood explain the effects of Original Sin and also God’s promise of salvation?

1.  Who were the judges of Israel? What was their role in God’s plan salvation?

2.  How did the monarchy begin? What was the role of the Israelite monarchy in God’s plan of salvation?

1.  Describe two Old Testament prophecies of hope and how they are fulfilled in Jesus Christ?

You will write a one-two page essay on the following topics. Make sure that you follow any and all prompts for each question and include them in your writing.

Topic 1 (Article 8)

You will consider How God’s Mercy and Salvation continues to be apparent in your lives. to help you

“Describe an experience of God’s merciful response that shows he is always with you and guiding you, even when you sin.

·  This can be a personal narrative about sinful impulses and God’s Mercy,,

·  Your essay should address two points:

o  The nature of the personal sin and how it can be difficult to avoid sin (example, difficulty overcoming a bad habit, or an action that caused unanticipated harm to a relationship with God or another person.

o  Proof that God is still with you, still loves you, and still wants to be in communion (relationship)with you.

Topic 2 (Article 12)

“Describe a time in your life when you experienced a problem or fear and how hope helped you weather the difficulty. Part of this essay can be in visual form. This means that you can draw the time in your life but must have at least a page of explanation of what the picture is describing.
