We invite you to join us for this event on or near the grounds of one of NAHRA’s first field tests in 1984, truly the birthplace of NAHRA.

*Note: If you are not a member of NAHRA, please add $5 to the entry fee for each dog.
**Started and Hunter stakes, and Intermediate and Senior stakes will be combined. Cross entries in combined stakes are not accepted. LCRC reserves the right to assign additional judges and run the stakes separately depending upon the total number of entries in the two stakes.
Birds: Mallard ducks, chukars or pheasants. Prizes: Official NAHRA rosettes and bands to all qualifiers.
Entry forms are available on (Quick Links). ENTRIES WILL CLOSE AT 6 p.m FRIDAY, APRIL 29. WE WILL NOT ACCEPT ENTRIES AFTER THE CLOSING DATE. We encourage you to enter early. If you are unable to attend, contact the Test Secretary before the closing date to withdraw your entry for a full refund. We will not accept fax, phone, e-mail entries, or incomplete forms. To qualify for the NAHRA member fee, your membership number MUST be shown on the entry form. Sign each entry! Make checks payable to LCRC, “US funds” only. The drawing for the running order will take place after 6 p.m. on April 29. REFUNDS: After the draw, refunds will be given only for bitches in season, or for illness, injury or death of the dog. Requests for refunds must be made in writing to the Test Secretary by MAY 21, 2011and be accompanied by a veterinarian’s certificate. Bitches in season will not be permitted on the test grounds.

In North Hero, Harborside Harvest Market; convenience store, hot beverages, sandwiches; hot meals to go on Friday (prime rib), Saturday and Sunday nights, call 372-4443 to reserve.
In Swanton, House of Pizza, Dunkin’ Donuts, McDonald’s, China Wok, My T-Fine Restaurant, Jacobs Restaurant, Shaggy’s; and several convenience stores with deli’s.
St. Albans also has a wide variety of restaurants, about 20-30 minutes from Test Headquarters.

Please Note
The Lake Champlain Retriever Club reserves the right to assign additional judges if deemed necessary. NO VERBAL OR PHYSICAL ABUSE of the judges, workers, or dogs will be tolerated. Everyone is expected to be polite and congenial at all times; other behavior will be cause for removal from the test grounds. LCRC policy prohibits consumption of alcoholic beverages until the conclusion of the day’s testing. To be respectful of the judges and workers, testing will stop no later than 6 p.m. Saturday so everyone may enjoy our tailgate party! Please plan on staying in the area over night.

Directions to Test Headquarters
From New York: Take Interstate 87 north to Exit 42 to Champlain, N.Y. At this exit, turn right onto Route 11 toward Rouses Point, N.Y. Turn left onto Route 9 and proceed thru the village of Rouses Point. Follow signs to the bridge to Vermont, a right turn to cross over the bridge onto Route 2. Go about 5 miles to a yellow blinking light, (Mobil station on the right), turn left onto Route 78. Go about 3 miles to Test Headquarters at Christopher’s LAKESIDE BERRY FARM (watch for LCRC sign) on the north side of Route 78, just before the Alburgh-Swanton bridge.
From Vermont: Take Interstate 89 north to Exit 21 to Swanton, VT. At this exit, turn left onto Route 78. Follow signs thru Swanton on Route 78 West. Test Headquarters will be at Christopher’s LAKESIDE BERRY FARM (watch for LCRC sign), on the north side of Route 78, at the west end of the Alburgh-Swanton bridge.
Saturday Night Tailgate Party
On Saturday night the Tailgate Party will be at the home of Wayne and Dale Goodrich, 706 Bridge Road, North Hero, Vermont. Gather at 6 p.m.; dinner at 7 p.m. This will be a buffet to include appetizers, hot entrees, salads, and dessert. The charge will be $20per person for adults and children 12 years and older. If you plan to eat with us, please fill out the form below, clip, and return it with payment with your entries.
Following dinner, Ribbons will be awarded to qualifiers from Saturday’s tests. (On Sunday, ribbons will be awarded at Test Headquarters.)
Raffle tickets will be sold during the day Saturday at Test Headquarters and at the Tailgate Party. Prizes will include items donated by leading vendors, maple syrup and other Vermont products, and various other items.
Special Raffle: In addition to the general raffle for items mentioned above, we will have a special raffle for a Zinger-Winger “Uplander” launcher. Special Raffle tickets will be $10 each. If you are unable to be with us for the test weekend, you may still purchase tickets for our Special Raffle (only). Just fill out and clip the form below and send it with the correct payment payable to LCRC to the Test Secretary at the address on Page 1 by April 29. You may write one check for entries, tailgate party, and special raffle tickets, but be sure to include the appropriate forms.
Directions to Saturday Night Tailgate Party
From Field Test Headquarters on Route 78, turn right and continue west on Route 78 to the blinking yellow light and Mobil station. Turn left onto Route 2, continue south about five miles and cross over the North Hero-Alburgh bridge. At the south end of the bridge, take the immediate left onto Bridge Road. Go one mile from this intersection to the fifth house on the right.
