1. Organizational Location

The Assistant position is located in Tunisia under the guidance and supervision of the admin finance. The Assistant provides logistic and finance support, maintaining full confidentiality in all aspects of assignment, maintenance of protocol procedures, information flow and follow up on deadlines and commitments made.

2. Job Purpose

The incumbent supports the Admin Finance officer in recording and retrieving financial details of the Fund, including maintaining financial records and processing payments.
The incumbent provides a complete finance assistance to the whole of the Fund, addressing all issues of a finance nature and providing all relevant information to meet demands.

3. Major Activities

The incumbent will be expected to work full-time for the duration of three to four months.
During his mission, the following activities are to be completed:
-Provide financial support to admin finance officer.
-Review and adhere to office budgets
-Collect and enter data for various financial spreadsheets
-Review and audit financial statements, ensure all calculations and data entries are correct
-Prepare support documents for payment processing UNFPA finance System.
-Assist in physical check of financial documents
-Organize and archive documents related to UNFPA’s financial records.
-Assist in the development of financial template forms/letters
-Assist in travel arrangements for UNFPA staff
-Assist in preparation of UNFPA official events (workshops, seminars)
-Perform any other duties, as may be required.

4. Job Requirements

Education:
First level certificate in business, finance, accounting, or a related field
Knowledge and Experience:
·  5 years previous experience within a finance department
·  Some experience in human resources management
·  Previous experience in the UN is an advantage, and knowledge of protocol;
·  Strong interpersonal and organizational skills;
·  Computer literacy - Word, Excel, Power-point, etc., knowledge of Atlas is an advantage
·  Good writing and communication skills.
·  Awareness of the provisions of the data protection act and be able to apply these within the organization
·  Able to manage high volume workload

Languages: fluency in Arabic, French and Good command of English is desirable.
