San Diego County Fair 2015
Saturday- June 20th, Be at Stage at 1:30pm (showtime at 2:30pm) Saturday- July 4th, Be at Stage at 12:00pm (showtime at 1:00pm)
Funville Stage
The San Diego County Fair is a fun, family performance that gives our dancers the opportunity to showcase their talents with the support of friends and family. After your performance you get to enjoy the fair!
Performer Information
*All dance families must have all fees and tuition paid up-to-date in order to perform.
*Each performer will receive one free entry and a free parking voucher for each day they perform.
*If the dancer is 17 and under, then one adult over the age of 21 is allowed to accompany them for free.
All other spectators must purchase entry at the gate.
*Please SIGN YOUR TICKETS- BEFORE YOU REACH THE FAIR.
*Please follow all fairground policies. Organized check-in, positive behavior & leaving the dressing room cleaner than we found it is a must. Please be respectful, friendly & helpful to all staff & fellow dancers at the fair. Everything you say and do at the show reflects on our studio….be sweet. : )
*Please Wear Team Jackets around the fair. No Running- No Gum- No Gossip- No Yelling.
Costumes & Supply List…Please Bring:
*Extra bobby pins, safety pins, extra tights (Nude) and/or (Black) “fishnets”, water, & healthy snacks.
*Make-up (Red Lipstick, Pink cheeks, Blue eye shadow). All dancer make-up should be the same. Please make sure you have purchased the correct color palette. (See Company Make-Up, on WDA website)
*Hair (High buns/ponytails, Hair Nets, Rhinestones, Hair Spray, no loose hair).
*Costumes on hangers/garment bags, with hair pieces and dance shoes. Write your name in dance shoes, costumes, jackets, sweaters, bags, etc.
*Absolutely no undergarments under your costumes. Tights only.
Day of Show
*PLEASE ARRIVE EARLY to allow for traffic & arrive to the stage no later than 1 hour before showtime.
*Park Free in the “Green Lot” using your green parking pass. Walk to the Special Events Check In at “Solana/West Gate”. (See Fair Map for directions and check-in walking path).
*One hour before showtime please eat something healthy, use the restroom and be in full costume & make-up. *Please be at the Funville stage 1 hour before showtime in full costume and make-up. You will be allowed in the dressing rooms 30 min before only.
*No other activities the day of your performance. Please stay well rested and hydrated.
*Rehearsals with your group will take place one hour before showtime – or your scheduled time, in costume and make-up.
*Must be QUIET backstage at all times. Please be helpful to those dancers that have quick costume changes. *Dancers, please take any extra time you have to stretch backstage and warm-up tricks. Please line-up on time ready to perform at least 15 minutes before showtime. Show starts promptly on time.
*Please stay in your last costume for the final bows immediately following the last routine of the day.
*Don't forget your smiles and Have FUN!!! Focus on your performance…no need to be nervous. Everyone in the audience is there to support you with loud applause and smiles : )
*Friends and Family- Enjoy the show! You are welcome to take pictures & video (we would love to see these!)
