Class of 2017
Senior Recognition Night Contract
We have planned this program to give you the proper recognition you have earned, and so your parents, guardians, and friends, can also be a part of this exciting occasion. Please read this information carefully. Remember that we are the guests of Colonial Middle School. We know that your conduct will be appropriate and you will represent CMTHS in only a positive and respectful way.
DATE: Thursday evening, June 1, 2017
PLACE: Colonial Middle School, 716 Belvoir Road, Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462
TIME: Please be in the Colonial Middle School cafeteria by 6:00 PM to give enough time to put on your gown and line up. PLEASE BE ON TIME! The ceremony starts promptly at 7:00 PM.
PARKING: All students are asked to park in the rear of the school. Parking is limited, so carpooling is suggested.
ATTIRE: Please dress appropriately for an awards ceremony. No one should wear sneakers, flip-flops, slides, tee-shirts, jeans, shorts or extreme clothing. Any attire that is deemed inappropriate by the staff will be cause for dismissal from the program.
MALE: Dress shirt with collar (long or short sleeve) and tie (no golf/polo shirts), slacks, dress
socks, and dress shoes.
FEMALE: Dresses or pants/skirts with blouse are preferred, dress shoes with low heels (you
will have to walk up the stairs and across the stage). Please do not wear strapless
dresses, exposed backs, or dresses/skirts more than 2” above the knee.
TICKETS: Seating is limited due to fire codes, so each student will be given three (3) tickets. Graduating seniors do not need a ticket; however every person – including children and babies – must have a ticket.
ATTENDANCE: Senior Recognition Night is not your last day at CMTHS. Your last day is determined by your homeschool, so follow their schedule.
ROLL CALL: Please refrain from cat calls, cheers, and the like, while students’ names are announced. Each parent, relative and friend came to hear someone’s name called out from the stage. Be respectful of others so noises will not obliterate the name being called.
OBLIGATORY BEHAVIOR INFORMATION: Please conduct yourselves in a manner that will make everyone proud and make this a pleasant experience for the audience.
· Any student who exhibits evidence of the use or possession of any unauthorized substance will be removed immediately from the ceremony.
· Any student who exhibits any other inappropriate behavior that warrants dismissal will be escorted from the ceremony. The student and parent(s) will have to make an appointment with the Director to receive their certificate.
REFRESHMENTS: Food and beverages are not allowed in the auditorium; however, refreshments will be served in the cafeteria following the ceremony.
