Amphibian and fish Baseball Cards
INSTRUCTIONS:
þ Look on line for a fish and an amphibian
þ Pick one of each and create a baseball card with an image
and statistics about your simple animal
þ Size of the card: must be a minimum of 5 ½” by 8 ½“
(size of half a sheet of copy paper)
þ Use copy/computer paper, or card stock, or construction paper
(Note: do not use notebook paper)
You must include:
On the Front (Image and Name):
þ "Action Photo": You need to sketch this yourself. The photo needs to be in color
and show details.
þ Bonus: Include the animals environment in the sketch
þ “Name and Nickname”: Provide the scientific name as well as common names
for this animal.
On the Back (Statistics sheet, as on back of a baseball card):
þ “Team Affiliation” – species and genus
þ “Hometown”– habitat, where you are most likely to find the organism
þ “Players Position”- how its classified as part of animal kingdom (what type of movement, how many cells, how it eats, where it lives……).
þ “Favorite Food” – how does it get its energy?
þ “Tattoos” – special/unique organelles and how they assist the animal
