Organising a Trivia Night

• Pick a suitable date and venue
• Write or approach local businesses for donations as prizes
• Have a reliable, articulate M.C
• Advertise the event
• Usually 8 – 10 people per table
• People bring own drinks and nibblies
• Set a price about $10 per person (maybe less for children/students attending)
• Make up a pack for each table containing (place in a plastic sleeve)

-An envelope to place money for entry to be collected at the end of the first round (place a sticker/label on it

-Enough answer sheets for the number of round you wish to have (8 is usually enough)

-List of the topics for the rounds or have this displayed on a data projector

-The pre-round sheet (to be handed up at the end of round 4)

-A joker card (table nominates the round they wish to make their Joker round and receive double points for that round)

-A small garbage bag for rubbish

• You will require a 3-4 people to mark the answers while the next round is happening.
• Display the scores and announce at the end of round 4 and then at the end or if using a data projector display as often as you can.
• Arrange a couple of games at the end of Round 4 – heads ‘n’ tails; make a paper plane and fly them across the room (the furthest wins a prize); mini- basketball.
• Have tea and coffee available and maybe a light supper.
