Position Description
Full time opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in our rapidly expanding academic electrophysiology practice. Become a member of the internationally-recognized Penn EP program, delivering the highest level of patient care. While providing quality care across the continuum in collaboration with physicians, nursing staff and other members of the care team, you will perform histories, physicals, and procedures according to credentialing, and provide care and patient/family teaching. NP/PA's are appropriately charged with communication with patients pre and post admission, preparing detailed admission notes detailing plan of care, instructions and related medication management and evaluating transtelephonic ECG monitors. You will also participate in research as appropriate, ensure regulatory compliance, document care according to standards, and prescribe in accordance with the Collaborative/Supervising agreement and State regulations.
Minimum Requirements
Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in PA,MSN,CRNP in Adult or Acute Care
Or
A graduate of a Physician Assistant's Program approved by the American Medical Association, hold a valid Physician Assistant's License in the State of Pennsylvania and/or New Jersey, and have current certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA.)
Eligible for credentialing by the entity medical board. Prefers candidates with a strong Cardiology background.
