1.04General
.AContact with Probation minors, verbal, written, or by gesture, is forbidden. There are no exceptions..
.BAll information about the minors and their identities is confidential.
.CPlease keep all gates shut. Nothing should be left propped open and left unattended.
.DAll County facilities are “No Smoking” facilities.
1.05RESTRICTED MATERIALS
.ANo firearms, narcotics, drugs, intoxicants, or other similar materials are permitted on the Project Site.
.BContractor personnel must not smoke inside the facility.
.CContractor personnel must not to bring cigarettes or other tobacco products into the facility. Minors may attempt to gain access to them.
1.06SECURITY CLEARANCE
.AAll personnel entering the facility to work on the project must be cleared.
.BClearance requires finger printing and a background check:
.1Finger printing a background checks are to be done by the Sheriff’s Department.
.2The Contractor is responsible for arranging and paying for the finger printing and a background check.
.3The Contractor must make these arrangements a minimum of two weeks in advance of an individual entering a Juvenile Probation facility.
.4The Contractor may arrange for finger printing and background checks by calling the Director of Life Scan for the Sheriff’s Department at (408) 808-4747.
.CTo facilitate the project Juvenile Probation will allow entry pending the clearance. However, if the clearance is denied the involved party will be asked to leave the facility.
.DContractor's staff is required to have photo ID at all times when on the site.
1.07ACCESS TO FACILITY WORK AREA
.AContractor personnel must have their photo identification ready when they arrive.
.BContractor personnel must report to the Juvenile Probation Office and check in with the Receptionist.
1.08WORK AREA SECURITY
.AContractor must clear, clean, and secure the Work area at the end of each day.
.BThe Contractor must report to the Juvenile Probation Office immediately on discovery, of the loss of any tools, equipment, materials, or other items stored or used on the Project Site.
.CContractor's equipment must be rendered temporarily inoperative when not in use, by locking or other means.
1.09FACILITY DISRUPTION
.AContractor must at all times conduct their operations so as not to interrupt or disrupt the functioning of the facility.
.BAll Work that will or may affect the operation of the facility must be scheduled 72-hours in advance and be accepted in writing by the Juvenile Probation Office.
1.10TOOL CONTROL
.AThe use of explosive powered tools, fasteners, and devices is prohibited unless Contractor obtains prior written permission from Juvenile Probation Office.
.BTool control is Contractor's responsibility. Contractor must ensure their tools are properly secured at all times.
.CContractor personnel are required to account for all tools and materials taken into the facility. The Juvenile Probation staff may, at any time, inventory Contractor's tools.
.DContractor must inspect Work Area for forgotten tools or material at the end of each day.
.EAll tools must be stored at each day’s close of Work and locked in a place of security provided by the Contractor, as approved by Juvenile Probation Office.
.FContractor personnel are prohibited from leaving unsecured tools in vehicles or anyplace where minors can access them.
.GIf Contractor discovers that a tool is missing, the loss must be immediately reported to the Juvenile Probation Office.
1.11VEHICLE SECURITY
.AAll persons must remove ignition keys from their vehicles when they are out of the vehicles.
.BUnattended vehicles must be locked at all times.
.CVehicles must only be parked in areas designated by Juvenile Probation staff.
1.12SCHEDULING WORK
.AContractor must inform Juvenile Probation Office of their planned Work schedule.
.BIf a Contractor is unable to be on site as scheduled, Contractor must notify the Juvenile Probation Office indicating that the Contractor will be delayed or that the scheduled work for that day is cancelled. This notice is required no later than 30 minutes before the scheduled beginning of work.
1.13NORMAL HOURS OF WORK
.AThe Normal Hours Of Work within all Juvenile Probation Facilities are:
.1Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 a.m.
.2Any work performed on holidays, weekends, or between the hours of 4:30 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. is outside Normal Hours of Work.
.BWhenever the Contractor intends to perform work outside the Normal Hours of Work, Contractor must request permission by giving written notice to the Owner's Project Manager and Juvenile Probation Facility Manager at least seventy-two (72) hours prior to performing the Work. Requests to work outside Normal Hours of Work must be approved by both the Owner's Project Manager and the Juvenile Probation Facility Manager.
1.14 MATERIAL CONTROL
.AMaterial must be delivered to the site during Normal Hours of Work.
.BMaterials will be stored in areas designated by Juvenile Probation.
.CAt the end of each workday, Contractor must clear the Work area(s) of all debris, trash, rubbish, tools, materials, or supplies.
