Call for Nominations of National Officers

CALL FOR NOMINATIONS OF NATIONAL OFFICERS

March 1, 2018

Dear Sisters and Brothers of Phi Chi Theta:

During the upcoming National Chapter Meeting in Wichita, KS new national officers will be elected. The current positions for national officer are:National President, National Vice President of Internal Affairs, National Vice President of Expansion and a Regional Director for our Central, Eastern andWestern Regions.

Please fill out the attached form with your nominations for each position. ALL nominations are due no later than JUNE 1, 2018.

Please review the bylaws outlining qualifications for President and Vice Presidents on the nomination form. For a complete listing of the duties for each position, refer to Article VIII, Section 2A-D of the National Bylaws. Read this material carefully before submitting your nominations. In addition, you MUST obtain the consent of the nominee before submitting the nomination form.

From the Phi Chi Theta National Bylaws:

ARTICLE IX, SECTION 2: ELECTION OF NATIONAL OFFICERS. Any member who is an active member of a Local Chapter, or any Alumni-at-Large who is in good standing with the National Chapter, is eligible to be elected a National Officer.

A.Qualifications: The candidate must have attended a Phi Chi Theta National Chapter Meeting.

1)National President – Candidates for National President must have served on the Executive Council within the past five (5) fiscal years.

2)National Vice Presidents – Candidates for National Vice President must have served as an Executive Council member or standing committee chairman within the past ten fiscal years.

B.Nominations: Nomination of candidates for national office shall be made by the Local Chapters, or Alumni-at-Large, and submitted to the chairman of the Nominating Committee prior to each National Chapter Meeting.
