General Guidelines for Natatorium:
Revised October, 1999
I.The following rules and regulations concerning pool facilities usage and guidelines are developed in accordance with the promotion of regular pool use.
II.Hours of Operation:
(A) April 1 to October 31 of each year (Monday is pool-cleaning day. The pool will not be open to the public).
(B) April, May and October:
1. Tuesdays through Saturdays: 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.; 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
2. Sundays and National Holidays: 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
(C) June, July, August and September:
1. Tuesdays through Saturdays: 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.; 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
2. Sundays and National Holidays: 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
(D) A notice will be issued if pool is reserved for other purposes.
III.SwimPass Application:
(A) Application Period: registration begins March 1 of every year.
(B) Eligibility:
1. Student, staff and faculty spouses and other affiliates.
2. Adjunct teachers,alumni, retired and dismissed faculty, staff, their spouses and other affiliates.
3. Persons not affiliated with the university (maximum: 320 persons).
4. Personnel from non-scholastic divisions of the school (school post office, cafeteria, etc.): maximum 30 persons.
- Students: All currently enrolled students.
- Extended Students: Those who are not currently enrolled, but were enrolled the previous term.
- Student Affiliates: Spouses/domestic partners of currently enrolled students/extended students.
- Faculty: Those who are eligible for an ID card.
- Faculty Affiliates: Spouses/domestic partners of eligible faculty.
- Staff: Those who are eligible for an ID card.
- Staff Affiliates: Spouses/domestic partners of eligible staff.
(C) Procedures:
1. Please fill out an application form and present two 1-inch photos at the Physical Education Office.
2. Required Documentation:
(1)Faculty and staff affiliates must present household registration and other relevant documentation.
(2)Alumni must present relevant documentation upon registration.
(3) Part time faculty, retired or dismissed faculty and staff must present documentation signed and sealed by the human resources director and their respective household registration documents.
(4) Personnel from non-scholastic divisions of the school must present documentation signed and sealed by their managers.
(5) Persons not affiliated with the university must present ID card upon registration.
3. Fees:
(1)Part time faculty, staff and facultyspouses and other affiliates will be charged NT$300for registration.
(2) Alumni and students, their spouses and other affiliates will be charged NT$1200 for registration.
(3) Dismissed or retired faculty and staff, their spouses and affiliates will be charged NT$800 for registration.
(4)Persons not affiliated with the universitywill be charged NT4000 for registration.
(5)Personnel from non-scholastic divisions of the schoolwill be charged NT24000 for registration.
(6) Affiliates of persons in categories number 2, 4 or 5 who are under 130 cm may register for half the price.
IV. Current students, faculty or staff must present ID upon entry. Swim permit application not needed.
V. No permit, no entry.
VI. The swimming instructor is in charge of student attendance and safety during swim class hours.
VII. Children under 12 or under 130 cm must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Children are only allowed in the poolareawith direct supervision.
VIII. The swim permit is for individual use only. Violation of this regulation will result in permit confiscation and denial of reissuance. Violators may not reapply within one year.
If permit is lost or misplaced, please inform authorities and apply for reissuance. A service fee will be charged (10% of application fee).

IX. Natatorium Facilities Usage and Guidelines:
(A) Please present swim permit or student, faculty or staff ID upon entry.
(B) Please change into swimwear in the dressing room at the basement. Swim cap must be worn at all times while in the pool.
(C) Please shower and warm up before entering the pool.
(D) Hydroscopes, pointed instruments, glass and other dangerous objects are not allowed in the pool.
(E) Food, drink, gum and cigarettes are not allowed in the pool area.
(F) Persons with open wounds or infectious diseases arenot permitted in the pool.
(G) No running,rough play or excessive noise in the natatorium.
(H) Please call for help in case of emergency.
(I) Beginners are not allowed in the deep end of the pool.
(J) All patrons are expected toadhere to rules and regulations. Please follow the lifeguard instructionsat all times
(K) Please help maintain pool area safety and order at all times.
X. This guideline has been approved by the Site Management Committee and signed by the school president.
