Attire–Please refer to the SHF Rule Book. Half chaps may be worn. ASTM or BSI approved helmets MUST be worn by all riders at all times.

Awards – You must attend both shows to be eligible for the awards. Points will be awarded as follows; 1- 7 points, 2- 5 points, 3- 4 points, 4- 3 points, 5- 2 points and 6- 1 point. Awards will be presented at the August Show.

Entries- Entries are due byAugust 1, 2018. The entry form should be filled out and mailed or emailed to:

All entries must be paid for in full before being accepted. If emailing entries please send a cheque via mail or e-transfer to the email listed above. Please make all cheque make payable to Ace Ranch. Late entries will be charged $25 per entry. In event of cancellation of an entry a vet’s certificate must be presented, Admin fees will not be refunded.

Liability - It is to be understood that neither Ace Ranch, the show committee, judges, volunteers or manager shall be in any way liable for any accident, injury, damage or loss that may happen, from any cause or circumstances whatsoever, to competitors or anyone on the ground during the competition or to any animal or property brought on show grounds or for any loss, claim, matter, circumstance or event in connection with or arising out of or attributable to the show or any journey to and from the show. Acknowledgement of Risk form must be sign by all riders before they ride.

Practise Area and Schooling Hours - Schooling will only be permitted in the indoor arena, paid warm ups in the show ring are available on the entry form. Friday from 2-8p. Warm ups are $10 and it is open schooling max 6 horses at a time.

General Rules

  1. Classes with 3 entries or less can be cancelled at the discretion of the show committee
  2. Exhibitors are encourage to read all rules pertaining to classes at this show. This show is a SHF approved show and will follow all SHF rules.
  3. All riders must be members of the SHF & GHJA
  4. No pets
  5. No lunging in warm up arena or near show ring during show hours
  6. Abuse or inhumane treatment of a horse will not be tolerated. Any unsportsmanlike conduct will also not be tolerated. Above actions might result in removal from show.
  7. Medical volunteers will be in attendance. ABSOLUTLY NO RIDING outside of schooling and show hours.
  8. All Horses MUST present a valid negative coggins test to be allowed to unload at the ranch. Upon arrival please wait in vehicle until you are asked to unload. If you have any questions or are arriving outside of hours listed please call (306)527-0674.
  9. Numbers must be worn at all times, including warm ups.

SHF: Classes marked with a * Heritage approved. Classes marked with ** Prairie Cup approved. The approved classes will count towards year end awards. Please ensure that your membership is up to date and that you are nominated if you are interested in collecting points for the awards. To qualify for provincial championships Sept 28-30, you must attend a minimum of two shows and you must place in the top five in a division to be eligible.
