Shri Sukhmani Sahib Path
Shri Sukhmani Sahib Path was organised at the beginning of the session by management and faculty of LCET. It is organised for the peaceful and successful career as well as for good health and healthy mind of new admitted students.
VISITS AND DRIVES
Industrial Visit
On 13 June 2016, departments of Mechanical and Automobile Engineering organised a Visit to different Industries. They visited M/S Availi Textiles, M/S Sangrur Industrial Corporation and M/S Sachkhand Automobile in Sangrur. The Students were got plenty of technical and practical Knowledge from the Industrial visit. This visit helps them to tackle different problems in their future.
Tree Plantation Drive
On 4 August 2016, College Organised a Tree Plantation Drive. Director, Principal and Staff members of LCET planted trees on this occasion. Tree Plantation was done at Government School of Bijlipur and Government School of Kube Village. Such an activity helps in reducing Pollution and Global warming.
CETPA Global Services Drive
CETPA Global Services conducted Internship/campus placement drive for B-Tech final year students (CSE/IT/ECE/MCA) on 24 Aug 2016, 10 am onwards at LCET, main auditorium
Training and Placement
Voter Education Workshop
LCET organized Voter Education Workshop for students on 22 Aug 2016. The basic objective of this workshop was to sensitize the students about the importance of having voter rights of the eligible youth and importance of participation in an electoral process to ensure a responsive, accountable and democratically elected government. Mr. Arshdeep Singh and MsPriya have been appointed as Student Campus Ambassadors of LCET, under the SVEEP(Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation) program. The basic purpose of this workshop was to encourage the students to participate in the democracy by enrolling themselves in the Electoral Rolls and voting at the time of Election.
IKGPTU-TIE Joint Awareness Seminar on Entrepreneurship
On 23 Aug 2016, IKGPTU-TIE Joint Awareness seminar On Entrepreneurship was organised at LCET to Showcase the Ideas of Students which can be later on turned into Realization.
Prof. J.P.S Sibia Head of PTUNalanda School of TQM and Entrepreneurship Mohali, Mr. KaranChecker Founder and CEO of Startup ELVES, Mr. Harchitwan Singh Associate Director of TIE, Chandigarh. and Punjab.The main frame of the Camp was to enlighten the students for being entrepreneurs. Several Success Stories were discussed in the seminar which elaborated that how simple Ideas can be big Achievement.
WORKSHOP ON ENTERPRENEURSHIP
Three days Entrepreneurship Awareness Workshopheld at lcet from 29 to 31staugustin collaboration with STEP where students were given invaluable knowledge and tips about starting a business. Prof. Sunita Sharma, Registrar, STEP explained the importance of behavior and body language by giving very good and live examples. Dr. Parampal Singh, Department of Management Studies, GNDEC, explained the importance of marketing techniques. He showed a very intriguing video about Bios Incube which is a concept of turning cemeteries into forests.Dr. Pawan Kumar, Principal, Ludhiana College of Engineering and Technology, explained to the students that how a small idea can work wonders and create a business worth millions of rupees.
Seminar on savings and Investments
A seminar on “savings and Investments”for faculty was organized at LCET on 2 Aug 2016. Mr. Mohit Sehgal from NJ India Investments, shared about Mutual Funds and Market, he also explained about effect of Inflation. He elaborated the concept of investments and savings i.e. how investment in right instruments can yield more profit, especially systematic investment plans (SIP) in which individual can invest on monthly basis. He was accompanied by Dr. Pawan Kumar Garg, Ganpati Finance, who answered the queries from faculty.
OTHER ACTIVITIES
Quit India Moment
As per the Directives of our honorable Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi, the faculty members and students of Department of Automobile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, CE and ECE celebrated 70th year of “Quit India”On 9 August 2016.
On this occasion ECE Department celebrated “Quit India” moment by organizing a speech and Quiz competition among students and faculty members of CE and ECE Department.
Independence Day Celebration
On 23 Aug 2016 in the series of Independence Day Celebration, the Students of the Management Department celebrated the 70th Independence Day through Painting Skills and Songs of Desh Bhakti and other activities. It was discussed among the students that how India got free from the Brutal Britishers after passing through a Long battle.
