Timeline
8:45 Producer/Director: All scripts typed (copy and pasted) into flip Q teleprompter
Procedure:
1. Open Flip Q
2. Open the previous day’s announcements. Open Finder :Open Movies: Open Announcement Scripts: Open ”Previous days announcements” ex “March9th announcements”
3. Delete any out of date announcements, change times and dates to those needed.
4. Save as “ Today’s Date” in Movies Folder/Announcements Scripts ex “March10thannouncements”
5. Announcements that are to be added are on Mr. Burke’s website under my pages/morning announcement scripts. Copy and paste any additions to prompter
6. Save Announcements again (Same as step 3)
9:00 Producer/Director have rundowns completed
1. Fill out rundown sheet (rundowns are in book by equipment checkout)
9:00 Director distributes rundowns to crew, give special assignments
9:00 Technical director has all graphics loaded into Tricaster, DVR Recorder set for record, pre- recorded videos in cue in DDR, ready for production
1. Set and label record drive. Select the Record/Stream Tab Name as Tomorrows date in tomorrows Day (example save as “May12th” in Wednesdays folder
2. Load any pre recorded videos into DVD1 or DVD 2
3. Add any graphics or names
9:00 Floor Director has teleprompter monitors on, lights on, headsets ready
9:00 Studio Production Assistant on set, to assist
9:00 Control Room Production Assistant in Control Room, to Assist
9:00 Anchors on set, Mics on
9:05 Anchors read and rehearse scripts from teleprompter
9:05 Teleprompter rehearse with Anchors
9:05 Audio operator: mic check with floor director and anchors
9:05 Camera Operators have cameras powered on, white balanced, rundowns marked, headsets on, ready for production
9:10 Director Checks all shots
All crew on headset, ready for production
Anchors on set, ready for production
Control room on headset, ready for production
9:15 Production
End of production
Director edit final list
1. Click on DDR TAB
2. Open tomorrow’s folder(where you saved the announcements you just recorded)
3. Select all clips recorded and load into DDR 1 or DDR2
4. Load open
5. Arrange clips in final list in order
6. Edit each clip in’s and outs(You may not have many if recorded with few mistakes)
7. Make sure the chosen DDR is in list mode
8. Insert DVD into DVD recorder
9. check all graphics (Order and spelling)
10. load music into second DDR(Music Folder)
11. Record Final List to DVD
12. Stop record and finalize disk
Camera operator power down cameras, put camera two battery on camera one charger
Anchors hang up mics
Floor Director Hang-up headsets and turn off studio lights, clean studio
Director Put announcements on website
Director delivers announcements to High School
