GIFTED AND TALENTED PROGRAM

STUDENT/PARENT CONTRACT

I understand that instruction in a G/T class will be more rigorous with a continuum of learning experiences that will lead to the development of advanced-level products and performance and opportunities to accelerate in areas of strength. Homework assignments will be made regularly. The minimum acceptable grade in a G/T course is 70. In the event that any student’s grade drops substantially in a G/T class during a six-week period, a parent-teachers conference will be requested. A student whose semester grade is below 70 will be exited from the course and placed in a regular course sequence in that subject.

Yo entiendo que las clases de G/T serán más rigurosas y habrá un continuo de experiencias de aprendizaje que lleva a la elaboración de productos y al desempeño de trabajo de nivel avanzado y oportunidades para acelerar en las áreas de puntos fuertes. Se requerirá tarea regularmente. La calificaciónmínima de un curso G/T es de 70. En el evento en que la calificación de cualquier estudiante baje substancialmente en una clase G/T durante un período de seis semanas, se pedirá una conferencia entre los padres y el maestro. Un estudiante cuya calificación baja de 70 será sacado del curso y colocado en un curso regular que siga en ese material.
